Join Jayoda for a free public information session to learn about burnout and compassion fatigue!

After some expression of interest, we have decided to open up this free information session to those who are unable to attend in-person.

On the day before, we will either send you a reminder of time/location to meet in-person or a link and instructions on how to join our session from the comfort of your own home!

With such great success last year, we have decided to run our youth strength and agility Camps again!! After just 8 weeks of training last summer, we had overall objective improvements in lower body strength, power, speed and agility for both the male and female groups!

This camp will run for 8 weeks with 2 sessions each week. In the first and last session, we do testing which helps to not only provide insight on progress but helps to empower these young athletes. We will be starting on July 7th through August 28th.

This camp will be offered to those born between 2011 and 2014. Our groups will be led by our physiotherapist Bailey McAssey (females), our physiotherapy resident Matt Wright (males) and Laura Davison a kinesiologist (both).

Our goals for the camp is to improve speed, agility, strength and power which all have direct translation to sport. We are lucky to have the benefit of ensuring small group sizes so that each participant can have individualized tailoring and modifications.

With summer upon us, we want everyone to feel well and able to fully participate in their favorite summer activities! Due to requests from our previous participants, we have decided to run another Seniors Fitness Class.

This class will be weekly and run by Bailey McAssey a registered physiotherapist and Laura Davison a kinesiologist. Our classes are geared towards improving functional strength, balance, and mobility in a fun and safe small group environment!

Class time is Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 for 8 weeks. We will start on July 2nd, 2025 and end August 20th, 2025. You will only need a pair of good shoes and water, we have everything else we need for these classes.

The benefit of having qualified professionals running this class is that we can tailor each class and exercise to you and your needs PLUS they are covered by most extended health care policies!!

Rooted in her Island community, Rebecca is passionate about walking alongside others through life’s ups and downs with resilience, self-compassion, and a genuine, caring presence.

Rebecca is a Master’s-level Counselling Psychology intern, qualified to practice under clinical supervision. She uses a client-centered, strengths-based approach and often weaves mindfulness into her work.

She supports individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including but not limited to:
- Anxiety
- Grief
- Self-esteem
- Life transitions
- Burnout and stress
As an intern, Rebecca offers counselling sessions at a significantly reduced rate, making support more accessible while still providing high-quality care.
