True Bliss Yoga

True Bliss Yoga In-Person and Zoom online classes for all levels. Most classes are just over 1 hour long and include centering, postures, breath work and relaxation.

So much more than just a physical exercise, hatha yoga is a holistic system of health and well-being. Through yoga we build strength and flexibility in the body, the mind, the immune system, and the nervous system - so we're better able to handle stress and appreciate life. We find freedom, clarity, energy and joy! Each True Bliss Yoga class is different and unique, opening new doorways to spaciousness and freedom in body and mind. Alignment principles & props create a safe, supportive path for healing, growth and expansion. Interspersed throughout each class is training in breathing techniques, mindfulness, and deep relaxation that leaves you refreshed and revitalized. All levels welcome! Class pace varies from calm and gentle to flowing and strong, with variations offered for injuries and limitations so everyone can participate. On every level, it feels great to do yoga! Thinking about Yoga Teacher Training? This is the one to take!

The YAA’s Yoga Teacher Training Program takes a year to complete.

Why so long?

In Sutra 1.14, we learn 'to become well established, practice needs to be done for a long time, without a break, and with devotion”.

To practice yoga, and especially to teach, requires not only learning poses and sutras, teachings and philosophy, but also time for integration, mentorship and reflection.

The great news is that we are with you every step of the way, with members of our community all over Alberta. The even better news is that you can start anytime, or take more than the time allotted to finish if you need it, and it's all pay-as-you-go, so the cost of the program spread out over time too.

This Valentine’s Season, Choose Self-Love Through Yoga ❤️

Love isn’t just about chocolates and roses—it starts with the relationship you have with yourself. Yoga is a powerful expression of self-love, offering space to nurture your body, calm your mind, and connect with your heart. It teaches us that love isn’t just something we give to others—it’s something we cultivate from within.

With every deep breath and mindful movement, yoga invites us to meet ourselves with compassion, patience, and kindness. Instead of pushing or criticizing, we learn to honor our bodies, embrace our imperfections, and celebrate our strengths. Just like any meaningful relationship, self-love takes time and dedication, and yoga helps us show up for ourselves with presence and acceptance.

This February, roll out your mat and give yourself the gift of love—whether it’s five minutes of mindful breathing, a heart-opening practice, or simply resting in stillness. You are worthy of love, today and every day. ❤️

The New Year isn’t just a single, sweeping reset; it’s a series of small, meaningful beginnings. Whether we’re setting intentions, letting go of the past, or embracing new opportunities, we can let our breath guide us. It’s a constant companion, reminding us that we’re alive, that we’re fully aware, and that we can choose joy in this moment. The breath brings us inner strength, fortifies our resilience, and offers an endless capacity for transformation.

In yoga, the breath is our anchor—a steady presence that carries us through transitions, challenges, and growth. Each inhale brings fresh energy and possibility, while each exhale releases what no longer serves us. This rhythm is a powerful reminder that life, like yoga, is ever-changing, eternally evolving, and best approached in the present moment.

As we step into a brand-new year, we’re reminded of one of yoga’s most simple yet profound lessons: each breath is a chance to begin anew. Let’s commit to approaching the year with presence—one breath, one moment, and one step at a time. Together, we can create a year filled with growth, connection, and the enlightening power of yoga.

Classes start this week! Hope to see you there!

Each year, December seems to arrive and vanish in the blink of an eye. With so much to prepare, so much to experience, and those deadlines that can’t be missed, it’s easy to get swept away in the whirlwind of the season.

Last weekend, I gifted myself something precious—a retreat. And in that quiet space, I was reminded of something deeper, timeless and true that lies beneath all the busyness: the gift of Being.

This isn’t something we get by working harder, longer, deeper or smarter. The more we try to force it, the more it hides away. This gift is already beneath the tree, just waiting to be unwrapped. It’s within us—a quiet, sacred voice that whispers our true worth, our deepest dreams, and the goals that truly matter. It’s the divine child peacefully asleep in that silent night, patiently waiting for the light of our awareness to shine down upon it.

To open this sacred gift, we don’t do more; we recognize that we are more. We become present, slow our thinking, trust in our innate wisdom, and have faith in the generosity of life. Can we let our thinking mind take a step back and allow our heart to lead? Can we trust ourself to pause, breathe, and just be in the miracle of this moment? When we do, that’s a divine birth to celebrate!

For me, these reminders are a regular necessity. Life gets hectic. I often get overwhelmed, impatient, and caught up in self-doubt. But each time I pause—whether it’s in class, in meditation, or in a moment of stillness—I’m brought back to what truly matters. I remember who I really am. Every pause, every conscious breath, feels like a gift of me, to me.

As this holiday season unfolds, I’m deeply grateful for the gift of you—the gift of your presence and the light I see in your eyes that reminds me that we’re all born of this same divine source, and we’re all here to manifest it into being.

May we all find moments to pause, reconnect, and unwrap the true gifts of the season. Happy holidays to you! 🎄
