“Natural healing is about taking control of your life and being responsible for everything that goes in and out of your body, mind and spirit.” ~ Richard Schulze
Holistic health is a term that refers to caring for the entire person. As human beings, we are more than just our physical body. We are extremely complex beings that are physical, psychological, spiritual, social, emotional, energetic and more! When considering health, many people will focus their attention solely on the physical body, while ignoring other facets of health. For example, someone might start exercising and eating healthy, but not give any attention to their psychological or spiritual well-being.
Holistic health aims to achieve a healthy balance between each facet of one’s life. When one aspect (e.g., physical health) is functioning properly, it increases the ease and likelihood that the rest will follow suit. The opposite is also true, if one facet is not functioning properly (e.g., psychological health), it will affect other aspects of your system. For example, people with depression are much more likely to have physical problems, such as obesity and chronic pain, as well as other health conditions.
If you want to achieve a state of overall health and well-being, it is important to focus on more than just your physical health. For help or more information, visit my website: www.bodysensealternative.ca/.
