2. Take on one task at a time
3. Take it one day at a time~ even one hour or one minute at a time.

~How to Bounce Back from a Setback~

It never feels good when you get rejected, fail to meet a goal or just miss a great opportunity.
Here are some ways to bounce back;

1. Reconnect to your why. Ask yourself~ why did I pick this goal in the first place. To bounce back you need to understand the motivation behind your goal. Research shows that the happiest people have clear-cut reasons why they set goals and this restores their confidence to keep going.

2. If you try for something that it is important to you and you don’t get it, it can cause you to try harder the next time. Use your experience to come up with new strategies that you can use next time. Seeking out the positives helps make meaning out of your setback.

3. To quiet the harsh self-critic so you can move forward try saying something kind to yourself. What would you say to a family member or a friend if they made a mistake or missed out on an opportunity. I am sure you would not be mean and demeaning, so don’t give permission to say negative words to yourself. From a self-nurturing place, it is easier to see your next step.

Try one of these strategies and see if it helps you bounce back from a setback.

“I am feeling SO stressed out!”

Everyone has small moments of stress within their day. As an example, getting stuck in traffic or being disrupted when trying to complete a task. These micro stresses can accumulate throughout your day which could lead to anxiety. Being aware of these micro stresses is the key🌟

There are specific strategies that you can use to help with stress. Ask yourself these questions;
1. Are there interactions that I can change i.e. setting boundaries with a challenging co-worker or leaving for work earlier.
2. Are there micro stresses that I am creating? i.e. pushing the sleep button too many times therefore setting up your morning to be rushed.
3. Are you picking your battles? Can you choice not to engage or walk away?

Life can be easier and more enjoyable by making small changes to your day.
You can do it! 🙌

~🌼Changing your Attitude Will Enhance
Your Mental and Physical Wellness~

Here are 5 ways you can modify your mindset:

1. Start Preparing Right Now
If you think…I will start doing things differently tomorrow.
Think this instead…I’m going to start making small changes today!!

2. Keep it Real
If you think…Starting today I am going to overhaul my house, catch up on all my emails, have a coffee date with a friend ect.
Think this instead…I need to set realistic goals for myself and I do not need to take on all my goals on the first day.

Tip:
Take 🌟pride🌟 in your progress. Looking back on the progress that you have made so far will help encourage and inspire positive change in your life.

3. Accept and Learn From Mistakes
If you think…I am not good enough, I have no self-control and I don’t deserve to have a full and happy life.
Think this instead…No person is perfect. I am going to give myself a break and practice giving myself grace and self-kindness.

4. Do it For You
If you think…I need to make changes for others so I know that I am accepted and loved.
Think this instead…I am making these changes for my own well-being (the bonus is that others may benefit from your new attitude and lifestyles changes)

5. Accept Yourself
If you think…I see other women who just seem to have it all together, they make everything look so seamless and easy. I wish I was like her.
Think this instead…I am going to concentrate on looking and feeling my best and stop dwelling on things that I can’t change.

🌟Boost your Immunity to Stay healthy🌟

Did you know that sharing a joke with a friend, watching a funny sitcom or watching funny videos on YouTube can strengthen your immunity?
Having a good belly laugh is great immune support!!
Germ-fighting immune cells often become sluggish after the age of 45 (sorry ladies) which can increase your risk for catching colds and flues.
Make sure to fill your week with some good belly laughs 😆

We all can be blind to the blessings that flow into our lives. How many times do we overlook the things that help us to have a better life. It is human nature to focus on the negative aspects of our lives or focus on the things that we don’t currently have.
It is important to sit back and reflect on the things that we already have in our life that we are grateful for.

There is new research that supports a little self-care lowers your risk for cardiovascular disease.
It is reported that when middle-age women who treated themselves with care during difficult times had thinner, more flexible walls in major blood vessels and less plaque buildup compared to those with less self-compassion.
This is just one more important reason to place yourself on your priority list!! Book yourself some quality time this weekend to do something that you enjoy 🫶
