I’ve heard it said that people don’t leave jobs, they leave leaders… and I’ve been reflecting on this.
In my experience, it’s about what people feel in the spaces they’re part of.
I’ve stayed in roles because of how I felt working with someone.
I felt safe. I felt a sense of belonging. I felt valued.
I’ve also experienced when those things weren’t present… I didn’t fully show up.
I held back, quietly disengaged, and then left.
I’m looking forward to co-facilitating this Cultivating Safe Spaces experience with Leann at Riding 4 Life.
This work brings awareness to how we show up especially in moments of tension, uncertainty, or emotional charge. Our triggers, patterns, and presence shape whether others participate or protect themselves.
Working alongside horses adds a powerful layer. They respond to what is present, not what is intended, offering immediate, honest feedback without judgment.
If you’re someone who holds space for others and wants to make a difference - whether in teams, programs, or community - this is an opportunity to look at your own patterns, not just learn new techniques.
