Hard post to read, but needs to be said, yes all us small businesses have felt the shift... Support our local businesses...
Let’s be honest for a second.
You can’t say you “love local” and then consistently choose the cheapest, quickest option every time.
Because those choices add up.
Right now, local small businesses are closing not loudly, not dramatically… just quietly disappearing. And it’s not because they weren’t good enough. It’s because they couldn’t compete with shortcuts.
Lower prices often come with lower standards, rushed services, and corners being cut. And while that might work in the moment, it comes at a cost, just not always one you see right away.
Meanwhile, local businesses are out here:
Showing up every day
Paying fair wages
Following regulations
Investing back into the community
Caring deeply about the experience they give you
That costs more. And it should.
I've spent 10 years building something I'm proud of. One client at a time. One service at a time. One relationship at a time.
If that matters to you, support it.
Because “support local” isn’t a slogan. It’s a choice.
