Younity Yoga mind and body

Younity Yoga mind and body Younity Yoga is a home based yoga studio just north of the beautiful Muskoka area surrounded by trees and fresh pine air. Come try a class today! Hi I am Stacy.

Founder of Younity Yoga body mind medicine. Welcome. A little about me, I have been practicing yoga for over half of my life. (nearly 16 years). I have been fortunate to be able to teach yoga off and on since 2009 when I earned my first certification. (always a student) Being that I am a busy stay at home mom of 5 young children, I understand the demands of a juggling being a householder/parent. . Lol

I offer classes that are full of love, understanding, and most important, Fun! I like to take time in the poses, allowing the body to warm up and focus the attention on the breath. This allows for a safe practice when navigating how to move the body freely in unison with the breath. I hope my classes will leave you feeling honoured and valued. There is a wide range of diversity in my teaching techniques, from power yoga (ashtanga), to restorative yoga, to post and prenatal yoga, to meditation and breath work, so there is something there for everyone. Please feel free to ask any questions, as I am simply here to guide and to help you unite your mind and body to it's higher states of being. Transcend with me.
You are loved. Namaste

the Story

Stacy Chittenden has been practicing yoga for over 2 decades and feels fortunate to share her love for the practice with anyone who steps through the door. Since gaining her certification in 2009, she’s dabbled in other holistic modalities and has been balancing homesteading and healthy living. Being that she is a busy stay at home mom of 5 young children, she understands the demands of a householder and therefore puts extra emphasis on a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It’s strictly a judge-free zone. She offers classes that are full of love, understanding, and most important, fun! Stacy takes time in the poses, allowing the body to warm up and give you an opportunity to focus your attention on the breath. Gradually the class will flow into poses that will enhance the breath and movement connection. Stacy loves to lead her class into little moments of stillness to weave a bit of meditation for gratitude. Her classes will leave you feeling honoured and valued as she takes the time to care about the class experience.

“as we navigate through life, at times we may find ourselves stuck, yoga has helped me to recognize when it’s okay to stay stuck [in the mud], and when its time to take action/force movement-----I wish to help others seek body-mind awareness”

There is a wide range of diversity in her teaching techniques, from power yoga (ashtanga), to restorative yoga, to post and prenatal yoga, to meditation and breath work, so there is something here for everyone. Please feel free to ask any questions, as she is there to guide and to help you unite your mind and body.
