PSA: 🩻 The X-ray department at the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre in Burk’s Falls will be CLOSED on Monday June 1/2016 due to limited staff resources.
Walk in services are offered Monday- Friday 8am - 4pm at MAHC sites in Huntsville or Bracebridge.

Services will resume in Burk’s Falls on Tuesday June 2/2026

Hospital-to-Home Research Study 🏥 🏠

We know that many older adults want to age and stay in their own homes for as long as possible. As such, a research team is currently conducting a study to better understand the experiences and challenges of older adults undergoing hospital-to-home care transitions in rural communities.
They are hoping to chat with patients who have undergone these transitions as well as informal caregivers who have helped with these transitions.

If anyone is interested in helping with this research, it would take about 30 minutes of your time either virtually or on the phone to ask some questions about your experiences in transitioning older adults from hospital to home. You will also be provided with a $20 coffee gift card for your time.

The Burk’s Falls Specimen Collection Centre at the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre is closed today,
Wednesday May 20th 2026 due to staffing shortages.
There will be staff on site to accept specimen drop offs only!
