Maintaining a good sitting posture at your desk is essential for reducing strain and preventing long-term health issues. Here’s how you should sit properly:

1. Chair Position

Adjust your chair so your feet are flat on the floor (or on a footrest).

Keep your knees at or slightly below hip level.

Sit back so your lower back is supported by the chair’s lumbar support.

2. Back & Shoulders

Keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed, not hunched.

Avoid slouching or leaning too far forward.

3. Arm & Wrist Position

Keep your elbows at a 90-degree angle and close to your body.

Your wrists should be in a neutral position when typing, not bent up or down.

4. Screen & Keyboard Placement

Position your screen at eye level, about an arm’s length away.

Keep your keyboard and mouse close enough so you don’t have to stretch.

5. Movement & Breaks

Take breaks every 30–60 minutes to stand, stretch, or walk.

Adjust your posture periodically to avoid stiffness.
