We are in need of Community Support Supervisor.

Position Title: Community Support Supervisor
Department: Community Inclusion Services
Reports To: Admin Manager/Executive Director
Location: Surrey-Delta / Upper Fraser
Employment Status: [Full-Time/Contract]

Position Summary
The Community Support Supervisor at Connect Community Living (CCL) is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Community Inclusion and outreach services, enhancing community integration, and ensuring individuals served receive high-quality support. This role includes supervising staff, managing schedules, developing community-based programs, coordinating events, overseeing service plans, and maintaining performance standards. Additional responsibilities involve managing technology support, website updates, activity scheduling, and distributing organizational newsletters. The Supervisor will collaborate closely with CCL’s management and Board of Directors to align services with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Community Inclusion & Outreach
• Provide direct support to individuals in community inclusion and outreach programs, promoting participation and social connections.
• Develop and implement activities that foster community engagement, skill-building, and personal growth.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations to expand inclusion opportunities for individuals served.
2. Supervision & Leadership
• Lead and supervise a team of Community Support Workers, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services.
• Conduct regular staff evaluations, provide mentorship, and create a positive and supportive work environment.
• Uphold performance standards, ensuring staff adhere to CCL policies and protocols.
3. Scheduling & Absence Management
• Coordinate and manage staff schedules, ensuring full coverage across all programs and activities.
• Implement and monitor the Absence Management Plan to address staff shortages and maintain program continuity.
• Oversee scheduling systems and ensure staff are proficient in their use for accurate reporting and activity tracking.
4. Program Development & Compliance
• Design and continuously improve community inclusion programs, incorporating feedback from individuals, families, and staff.
• Ensure programs adhere to CCL policies, local regulations, and best practices, including maintaining a safe environment.
• Manage risk within programs, upholding the Non-Restraint Policy and implementing safety protocols.
5. Event Coordination & Community Engagement
• Organize and lead community events, group activities, and outings that support engagement, inclusion, and recreation.
• Develop partnerships with local businesses, agencies, and community groups to provide varied and meaningful experiences.
• Serve as a representative of CCL at community events, fostering visibility and strengthening relationships with local partners.
6. Documentation & Service Planning
• Develop and document Personalized Support Plans (PSPs) for individuals served, outlining goals, tracking progress, and ensuring timely updates.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and caregivers to review and adjust support plans in response to individuals’ evolving needs.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained for compliance and quality assurance.
7. Newsletter Coordination
• Prepare and distribute CCL’s newsletter, providing updates on programs, events, and organizational news.
• Coordinate with the marketing or communications team to ensure newsletters are informative, engaging, and reflective of CCL’s mission.
• Gather and incorporate input from departments to highlight achievements, upcoming events, and new initiatives.
9. Collaboration & Reporting
• Attend management meetings to align program strategies with organizational goals and share updates on community inclusion services.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on program outcomes, community engagement, and staff performance.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors and CCL leadership to support organizational development and identify areas for program enhancement.

Qualifications
• Education: Degree or certification in Community Support, Health Care, Social Work, Psychology, Event Coordination, Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in the Community Living sector or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Skills & Knowledge:
 In-depth knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities or vulnerable populations, with a focus on person-centered, inclusive practices.
 Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor staff, uphold performance standards, and foster a collaborative work environment.
 Proficiency in website maintenance, scheduling systems, reporting tools, and relevant software for community service delivery.
 Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities to oversee multiple programs and projects.
 Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with individuals served, families, staff, and community partners.
 Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in community inclusion, risk management, and non-restraint policies.
With class 5 driver's license.


Working Conditions
The Community Support Supervisor will work primarily in an office setting, with regular travel to community sites, events, and program locations. Some flexibility in hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, may be required to accommodate events and program needs.
