Missed your class because you didn’t know you made it off the waitlist? It happens, especially if you’re not getting notifications.

Here’s what you need to do:
🔹 Enable text and email notifications so you’ll never miss a "You’re off the waitlist" alert.
🔹 Waitlists can move quickly! You’ll find out if you’re in at least 2 hours before class.
🔹 Once you’re confirmed, it’s official. If you can’t make it, make sure to remove yourself from the waitlist, or late cancellation fees will apply if it’s past the 24-hour window.

Don’t risk it! Get those notifications set up and secure your spot on the reformer. We’re excited to see you in class!

Proper biomechanics allow joints to function optimally, muscles to work with less effort, and energy to be conserved. This means less fatigue, better posture, and improved flexibility. Curious about that frame with bars and springs at the end of your reformer? They are called Tower!

The Tower may get compared to the Reformer, but each offers its own set of benefits and operates in very different ways. The Tower is a fixed, vertical frame, while the Reformer slides back and forth. The Tower’s open-chain springs attach directly to your body, offering a different range of motion that helps build stability, mobility, and flexibility. Neither is better—just different!

The Mermaid isn’t just about flexibility—it also strengthens and activates key muscles for stability. As you reach overhead and bend to the side, you engage your core muscles, helping improve posture and balance. The shoulders lengthen as they stretch, and the glutes work to stabilize the pelvis, preventing overextension.

Why this matters:
▪ Activating the core muscles during the Mermaid not only supports your spine but also helps improve overall body awareness. This engagement leads to better posture and balance during other activities.
▪ The shoulders get a stretch, which helps improve shoulder mobility and can reduce the discomfort that comes from tightness in the upper body.
▪ The glutes act as stabilizers, ensuring a controlled, fluid movement and preventing overstretching.

▪ The obliques play a key role in side bending used for every day movements like reaching overhead, carrying groceries and getting out of a chair.
▪ By stretching these muscles, you improve your spine's flexibility, reduce tension, and create more space in your back, allowing for easier movement.

Another key benefit of the Mermaid is how it stretches the intercostal muscles—the muscles between your ribs. When these muscles are stretched, your ribcage expands, encouraging better thoracic mobility and promoting deeper, more efficient breaths.

▪ Tight intercostal muscles can restrict lung expansion, limiting your ability to take full, deep breaths.
