Good initiative for patients and pharmacists! In British Columbia, Canada, pharmacists have been granted the authority to prescribe medications for minor ailments and contraception.
"New regulatory standards providing pharmacists in BC with authority to diagnose and prescribe medications to clients in British Columbia for minor ailments and contraception are now in
effect. These conditions include acne, allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dysmenorrhea, fungal infections, gastrointestinal disorders, headaches, hemorrhoids, ni****ne dependence, urinary tract infections, and others."(1)
