There is no perfect time to work on fitness and health goals.

Yes there are better times, but no perfect times.

Here's why. Some people work part time or full time, some are in relationships, some people have kids, people have friends and families, people have all kinds of other tasks to do.

Some or all of these things will consistently be in people's lives.

It's rarely a time someone just has time to work on their fitness and health goals.

It's a matter of making it a part of your life like you do other things. It's the only way anyone's going to get anywhere with the results they want to see.

When you put time and effort into something, it improves.

There will be times where you will have to focus on other things because they demand your time and attention, so you will have to step away at times. But if you're away from fitness and health routines for so long and going backwards with your fitness and health goals or not even really moving them forward for so long, then really it's not your circumstances. You'll have to look deeper and reflect more and you'll realize it's your lifestyle patterns, and simply put, you have other priorities.

Really it comes down to priorities. If you want to really make something happen, anything, it has to be somewhat of a priority if your life.

If there's someone you have common interestes with, want to be like, live like, have a lifestyle like, have the things they have, surround yourself around those people with those things.

Because, if there's one thing that's clear on why people are the way they are, or why their lifestyle is the way it is, one big reason is because of the people they surround themselves around most often. This applies to lots of situations, while not all, but lots. You won't be exactly like that other person, but you will absorb some influences from them for sure.

If you think, you will realize how true and powerful this effect is.

People who party and club a lot, often hang out with people who party and club a lot.

People who are committed Christian or Jehovah or Muslim or whatever other religion often are also around people who follow that faith.

People who do drugs or drink regularly are often around people who do that too.

People who are athletes are often around other athletes.

People who are into fitness are often around other people who are into or working on fitness.

People who like playing video games are around others who like playing videos games.

If you're looking for more motivation or discipline to get you were you want to be, you can find it. But if you want an easy way, just surround yourself around certain people. Energy is very contagious. Everyone carries certain energies. Some carry a go getter energy. Some carry a lazy energy. Some carry a kind energy. Some carry a bratty energy. Some carry a disciplined energy. Some carry and chaotic energy. Etc.

There's a reason why when you were a kid, your parents wanted you to hang around certain kids or not hang around certain kids, or your parents wanted you to date this person, or not wanted you to date that person, or picked what schools they wanted you at and not wanted you at.

Because your parents knew full well the power of influence your surroundings/people have on you... And if the results matched what your parents wanted, they would encourage you to be around certain people, but if your parents didn't like certain results, they would try to distance you from certain people.

This is one of the reasons I see for people's happiness or unhappiness.

I will explain it in a way that nobody has ever explained to you.

1 reason for people's happiness or unhappiness is because they have or have not matched their external environment to their current inner soul.

Here's what I mean.

Remember when you were kid? You were smaller. Your shirt was say size medium kid. Then you grew up. You got bigger. You increased the external environment meaning your clothes to match your internal, meaning your body. So your shirt size went to a medium adult.

See what's happening? Your matching your external environment with your internal. When you do that, you're happier. Because your clothes fit you comfortably for where your body is at now. You're in alignment internally and externally.

But, what happens when you don't match internal and external? There will be conflict. You will be uncomfortable because the clothes do not fit. You won't be happy in clothes that don't fit.

Now, take that idea and apply it to your soul, your inner self. Then there's the external environment, the people you're around, the places you're at, what you use to find fun, your habits, etc.

Guess what, once your grow internally, you will have to adjust your external environment to match your upgraded internal self, otherwise there will be conflict and lack of alignment. And this is the reason why sometimes, things that use to make people happy, no longer make them happy. And also why they need to change things up to be in alignment with their current soul for happiness.

Simply put, at one point in your life, clubbing or partying like crazy made you really happy. For some it probably does not anymore. But other things make them happy now so they do other things.

Take that idea and look at your habits, way of thinking, people you're around, things you do, things you accept, your boundaries, and you will realize things and changes that may need to be made for greater happiness.

And if you're not changing anything, then really, you're staying the same, which really means you're not growing...

Don't be afraid of the work and risks necessary for change. Can lead to greater happiness.

Be afraid of playing it so safe, doing nothing, and being stuck in the same place that you're simply not all that happy with that you no longer really fit into.

When it comes to reaching your greatest goals, whatever those goals are whether it be in fitness, health, career, lifestyle, social, better habits, etc., what a lot of people will find is once they get to that place spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, it just happens.

It's not forced. You work at it because you want to do it. You're focused. Your thoughts are different. You believe.

Some people think you often have to force yourself and be so disciplined to carry out productive action, and while that can work for some period of time, too much of it will burn people out.

What people need to realize, if you can come from the right place, but you have to get there first, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, more of what drives you is a strong force of desire. It's not forced.

You have to really look within to feel it.

You become more of a magnet towards your goals rather than forcefully pushing yourself to the goal.

It's hard to explain until you're at that place. Once you're there and you feel it, you'll simply get it.

But if I can explain it as simply as I can is like when you are really excited for something, let's say a vacation with your friends or family and you have to save up $5000, you're not dragged down by the work you have to do to save up for it, but rather you are fueled by desire to work because that end result fuels you. See what I'm trying to say?

When you're not reaching certain goals you want, really it has little to do with your actual outside circumstances. What's really happening is you're not at the right place mentally, emotionally, and spiritually yet to receive it. This is truly what needs correction. Not your outside circumstances. It's actually internally.

When you have to do something, there's a certain energy you carry.

When you want to do something, there's a very different energy you carry.

You have to allow certain energy to fill you which comes from the universe.

Try to force less and flow more... Find that energy... Look within... Focus...

When there's injuries to the knees, I'm looking at what type of injury, what part of the knee, what they do for work, how they move, how much weight someone carries, and I have to consider all that, then determine what are the safe exercises and stretches we can do.

One of several exercises that's generally safe for the type of knee injuries presented is lying leg curl.

I like this exercise because it's non weight barring. It's easy on the joint. Yet it isolates the muscle well. When they are done the exercise, they feel good, it's stronger, yet has low joint stress.

When you look at the human leg, there are 2 main sides. Front and back. Strengthen those.

Then you have the inner and outer side.

Most people have anterior upper leg strength that is too dominant in comparison to the other 3 sides. So we build strength in other sides to give more support during functional movements for any area of the leg that is weaker.

A lot of people need stronger hamstrings in general, but also greater hamstring flexibility. Tight hamstrings is quite common.

Overall, her husband has reported GOOD improvement to his knee injury and she has reported OK improvement. They started in January so we have some months to go still, typically 3-4 months is a good time to maximize progress.

I also get people to think about how they move in a day and their positions so they become more hyper aware of their movement mechanics and then they can adjust those accordingly to assist in healing.

In their early 60's.

Came mainly for injury recovery, and to improve overall strength. Both had some accident injuries to their knees.

Started in January 2026.

For the injury recovery side, the husband has reported "GOOD" improvement in his knees mainly due to increases in strength. The wife has reported ok improvement in her knees. It's still only a short period of time. Typically, people have to reach the 3-4 month mark of consistency to really see the changes.

As for the strength side, both have had consistent improvement increases in strength as the weights they are lifting for different exercises have gotten higher.

She can now bench press 40 pounds 10-15 times! The husband can now bench press 60 pounds 15 times!

Do you realize how much bench pressing 40 pounds 10-15 pounds is for someone in their 60's! That's a lot!

On the seated rows, she pulls over 100+ pounds (on a 2:1) ratio pulley 10-15 times! Do you realize how much weight that is for a seated row for someone in her 60s!? It's massive! While the husband pulls 150 pounds 15 times.

Both have strong upper bodies!

I see people push and pull weight regularly so I know what's common weight to do, what's high, and what's low for males and females in certain age groups.

Story:

Working on active rehabilitation of an injury.

When she has consistency in training, her body and injury feels better.

When she's not, pain levels increase.

When it comes to injury and pain, when you do the right amount, that's when you get the most benefit.

If you do too much, or too little, that's bad and can cause more pain or lead to more injury.

It's about the right balance.

If you think about most things in life, the right balance in many things is what gives the best results.

Don't think the more you do the better. Or the least you do the better.

Think, what is the right amount for something to give the best results or the best results on return of effort...
