Some people say, you don't get bothered much by little things.

I say, I usually don't. I'm a big picture type.

Being in the fitness and health sector, I see an area's of people's health and fitness. When people are 30 and up, generally, a lot more health and fitness issues come up. It's a real thing. Some smaller issues, some bigger issues, it's a range of different things for different people.

I don't get caught up in little things. I'd rather focus on real problems that are life changing.

The one major thing I see that can really help people is to think more proactively. Think how can I prevent something from happening. What I see often is people being reactive. Something bad happens and then they take action.

So if you are in good shape or decent, you have to be thinking what do I have to do to stay in this state.

I see too many people taking their health and fitness for granted, just treating it like it's optional and it can wait and making it low on their priority list.

Health and fitness issues really change people and their lives when something bad happens. Don't take it for granted.

Stop thinking reactive meaning stop making choices that will give space for something bad to happen.

You don't need to hit rock bottom to wake up. You can just choose to wake up be reading this post now.

Start thinking proactive. Start making choices that keep you at a good place and move you to a better place even if you are already doing good or decent.

Time moves fast.

You don't want to be too old thinking you could of, should of, would of.

We only have windows of time for certain things to happen, or they will never happen. This is reality.

There's a point where in time where we may be limited to age, physical capability, health, energy, motivation, or there's changes in circumstances that those opportunities do no exist anymore, etc.

When certain opportunities arise, sometimes we have to jump on them, because that opportunity is only right there and then.

Sometimes, you got to take some chances, do things you normally wouldn't, do things that are outside your comfort, take on some new challenges, because truthfully the clock is ticking.

For some people, if they spent the same time going to the gym and working on their diet, as they do with the time they spend overthinking about what they are going to do and going back and forth in their own head, they would be in good shape!

When it comes to fitness and injury recovery goals, it's not that most people cannot reach their goals and do better.

100% of people can do better with these goals or reach or even surpass them!

If you ask me, if there's one thing you could pin point that is the biggest obstacle that limits people, is it circumstance, is it ability, is it where you came from, is it your genetics, is it this or that?

The #1 thing I would say is A CRAZY DESIRE/MOTIVATION. If you don't have this, no matter what other tools you have, you will never reach your goals! But if you have this 1 tool alone, even if other tools were lacking, you would still go far with your goals!

Really if you want something so much, if you are so motivated, believe me, it will show in your actions. People will clearly see it in you.

Changing your mood is not hard. Moods are very flaky.

Here's what I mean. You could be bored, or sad, or gloomy this very moment.

But if I told you, meet me at your nearby park on this sunny day right now January 17th in a few hours for some exercise and I will give you $1000 cash, I'm telling you, thousands of people's moods would change instantly and thousands of people would show up! This is truth!

Show up to exercise on a nice day at the park and get $1000 cash... Your spirits would be uplifted instantly!

Motivation can change in a second!

You have to position your mind right, and your mood will change instantly!

When you look at why you can or cannot do something, don't get caught up in all the small things.

Just ask yourself 1 question, do I really want this thing that bad, whatever thing... And if the answer is yes, you will go far in it. And in 1 year by remaining in this state, you can change your situation so much... whatever situation that is...

So many people try to force themselves to do things and you can to a certain point but then it just isn't enjoyable... You can only exert discipline so much before it's too much. Let me tell you. I've been doing exercise consistent my whole life. Never fell off. Never felt unmotivated. Position your mind and spirit in the right place, and there's a natural flow that you can ride. Work with the energy of the universe. Don't try to do everything yourself. It's not necessary. There's energy everywhere. It's transferrable. Use it.

Truly letting go and trusting is hard . It's needed for growth and to live the best life. Whether it's letting go of certain people, habits, tendencies, ways of thinking, certain thoughts, ways of our past selves, etc.

Let's do the hard things now than later, and see the real changes we want.

2026. Make this your best year!

While this sounds cliche, it's true if you make it happen!

Here's the straight truth.

We have 1 life to live. The older we get, the faster time goes by. There's no guarantee of a second chance after this life. You don't want to be sitting there old one day thinking could of should of would of, and being too older to do anything about it anymore.

Another cliche thing people say is listen to your heart! That is true too and really good things happen if you actually listen to it and really follow through on the work that needs to be done on those desires.

So why do people fall short on making it their best year? I'll tell you some reasons. People listen to their doubts. People are overcome by fear. People set limitations on themselves. People do what's comfortable. People do what they've always done in the past. People are not challenging themselves enough. They enjoy comfort way too much.

So how do you change all that?

Now while I'm saying listen to your heart, you also have to be logical and methodical and systematic about approaching your desires. You can't just listen to your heart and ignore logic and common sense.

What I'm saying is listen to your heart. Make a good plan. See intelligence in the plan. What methods and strategies are in place? What habits? What changes this year are different about you than other years? How will you overcome fear and doubt? Show real work that's being done that would make others a believer like, hey this person is for real, this can actually happen.

By considering these things and acting on them, you will see the greatest change in your life this year.

Be a dreamer. Just do it intelligently.

Really, 2026 is the year of the greatest change for some people...

One of my clients made cookies and dropped them off for the Christmas holidays 😋

Her, I, and other members have been on this Pre Christmas Fitness Challenge for the last 1 month.

We had to hit a:
- # workouts for the month
-certain workout length
-steps per day
-and improved diet

The 1 month is complete ✅ and the plan was to eat treats during the Christmas week and the week after before the New Years Resolutions resume starting on Monday Jan 5th.

I put out the challenge and a lot of times I do the challenges as well. Why? To go through the challenge like everyone else. To practice what I preach over and over again. To stand by what I say. To show people who is reliable by their actions. To show the world, this is someone whose words can be trusted. To be what I want to see in people. To be an example of what success takes in fitness consistently day to day, year to year, for a life time straight, and overcoming excuses over and over and over again. To fulfill my commitments of what I said to others.

I've successfully completed the challenge. Though I won't post others because I don't mention names for privacy reasons but to the ones who accepted the challenge during a tough time of the year, good on you! You needed these challenges to get better.

Fitness, health, and rehab goals are not easy for most people. It takes a lot of effort to really move results forward. And while not easy, it's worth it, and makes people very happy.

2026 Jan 5, is around the corner, we got new goals to work on.

Until then, get some rest and take it easier, because you'll need it haha!

HONOR & SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

One thing some people need to work on is honor and spiritual development to reach their highest level of health, fitness, and rehab goals.

What does HONOR & SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT have anything to do with health and fitness goals?

Let me explain. I've been consistent in fitness my whole life in many aspects. Over time, you see different aspects that make people successful on a deeper level.

These 2 aspects many people do not see. It's a deeper level of understanding.

When people journey on their health and fitness goals, they are growing, and they will have to self reflect to realize things about themselves. There are many times people say, I've learned so much more about myself than I realized before. I've realized gaps of myself I didn't even know existed. There many things I need to improve on.

Let me give examples why HONOR and SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT matter.

You see, someone who has less honor and lower spiritually developed will tell someone a goal, they will tell someone they will do something, yet if it's no longer convenient for them or it challenges them, many will quit and no longer stand by their word. They will have excuses of why they couldn't work harder. This is a LACK OF HONOR and SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT because they did not stand by their word. They did it for themselves. They didn't think about an obligation to another person that they said. This is lower spiritual development and honor. It's a very selfish me me me energy.

But a person with honor and higher spiritual development, here's how they are. They tell you something. They stand by it. Even if it's hard or inconveniences them, they will stand by their word. Why? Because they have HONOR. They are not selfish. They are thinking for the greater good of all, not just themselves. They are thinking, I told you I was going to do this. I must meet this on my word and my promise to you. They understand their word affects someone else. Someone with great honor and high level of spiritual development thinks on a level of humanity (how what they do affects everyone) and not individuality (me me me).

Now you understand why HONOR and SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT relates to someone reaching their goals. Everyone makes mistakes here and there but rarely will a person of this strong trait look for an easy way out because it's easy. They have a very pure soul.

New year 2026 coming. Some will have goals to better their health, function, energy, strength, feel, and lose weight/body fat.

Everyone has an ideal body weight and body fat % they feel and function at best. The idea is to not be too low and not too high. And what's ideal for each person, they will feel it once they are there.

This post is for men. Next for women.

For men trying to get leaner, you can! But honestly to get visible abs, especially men 30+, for most, it's challenging, rare, and more rare to maintain year round for many years.

I've posted my picture as well at 10.9% body fat which is around my natural year round. All natural for life. I estimate 8-12% is my year round body fat % for my whole life. I was naturally leaner when I was younger but with age, and no longer being in my teens and 20s, I have gained a couple percent body fat.

For truth sake, a small amount of men 35+ that even reach 12% or lower are using gear/performance enhancing substances and often just holding these numbers temporary for special occasions.

You can get lean but know the truth that very lean meaning 12% or less at age 30+ is extremely difficult to achieve and more difficult to maintain because of biology.

Average body fat % for Canadian men 19%
Average body fat for American men 28%.
