We are honored with Bushra Anwar's presentation of our model of BMY Health, embedding -integrity, at the Canadian Bioethics Society Conference.

According to our analysis of Canadian clinical trials (top 50,000 projects):

🔹 Only 68% declared completed.
🔹 The rest terminated, suspended, or unknown status.
🔹 Slow accrual is a common reason – leading not only to non‑completion but also to underpowered studies among many completed.

We advocate for national that do not exist – standards that explicitly include operational integrity with IRB governance.

Non‑completion is not merely an administrative failure. It is an lapse – compromising the ‑benefit balance in research and making informed consent an illusion.

Let's wasting participants’ time enrolling in studies.
Let's join to support Canadian clinical research eco-system. We look forward to hearing what you're already doing, and how can we support your work!

The "Healthy Immigrant Effect" is real, but so is its decline. Studies from Longitudinal Survey of Immigrants to Canada highlight that within two years, the self-assessed health of new arrivals often drops.

We often talk about the visible barriers like housing or jobs, but the silent weight of acculturation, the loneliness, the financial precarity, the loss of status, takes a real physiological toll. This is why BMY Health advocates for integrating routine wellness check-ins into settlement services, and putting self-care first for newcomers.

Grateful to Law Corporation for hosting such a valuable business networking event. It was a great opportunity to learn about their work supporting the legal needs of corporations and families across BC.
We also had the chance to share the real struggles and lessons we’ve experienced while building BMY Health, Canada as a business in BC, and to hear firsthand from other startups navigating similar journeys.
A big thank you as well to BEBC for connecting us with this community.
We look forward to meeting and connecting more new businesses in our community, and empower each other!

Excited for what comes next with new partnerships!

As a longstanding leader in knowledge mobilization (KM) CIHR is proud to launch its renewed KM Strategy & Action Plan.

This Strategy strengthens how health research is mobilized for health, societal, and economic impact across Canada.

The renewed Strategy is built around four streams: Enhance, Transform, Invest, and Learn.

It also includes an updated definition that incorporates the practice and the science of KM, recognizes the role of knowledge users and knowledge holders, and values diverse knowledge systems.

To bring this Strategy to life, we are making significant new and ongoing investments, including:

• $20M recurring for KM programs that respond to community needs
• A new knowledge synthesis and evidence integration platform funding opportunity (more information coming soon)

Later this spring, CIHR will host an Ask Me Anything session to answer community questions.
