Getting to know yourself isn’t just about discovering who you are — it’s also about gently releasing who you thought you had to be.
Over time, we all collect stories about ourselves. Some were shaped by past experiences, relationships, expectations, or moments when we were simply trying to cope. While those stories may have once protected us, they can also begin to limit how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible.
Growth often asks us to pause and question those narratives:
Is this belief still true?
Is this who I really am, or who I learned to be?
Letting go of old, limiting stories can feel unfamiliar, even uncomfortable. But it also creates space for self-compassion, healing, and a more honest connection with who you’re becoming.
You’re allowed to outgrow the version of yourself that was built around survival. 🌿
