Residents at Venvi Churchill Place in Oakville were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. If you’re in the area, drop by The Bentley Regina to say hello!

Calling all classic and antique car owners. Fleetwood Villa is having their 3rd Annual Classic Car Show in support of Surrey Food Bank.

Last year we raised 160 lbs and over $2000 in donations, which was a fantastic result for an inclement weather day. This year we aim to surpass those amounts, but we can’t do it without you. If you are interested and available to attend our 3-hour car show, please email me back directly to reserve your spot. There is NO entry fee join our event. Top 3 cars will get voted on by all patrons who attend, and the top 3 winners will be getting some awesome prizes.

Retirement living is about community and connection. A new resident at Venvi Windsor Park retirement residence felt overwhelmed on her first day, until a group of compassionate residents embraced her warmly. Over lunch, they shared stories and realized they all hailed from the same Italian town. What began as a simple gesture blossomed into an hour of laughter, camaraderie, and encouragement.

Happy 20th Anniversary to Fleetwood Villa! 20 Years of excellence in serving seniors in Surrey. Thank you to all of our community partners, volunteers, staff and residents who have made our home a special place.

On this day we celebrated 8 employees who have spent all 20 years with our site. We also celebrated 1 resident who has been living at Fleetwood Villa for all 20 years as well, ever since spring of 2005. Thank you for all who were in attendance. A special thank you to City of Surrey Counsellor Annis, Stutt & Bose for attending our event.

Happy Easter to everyone! Our residents enjoyed an Easter Tea Party on Good Friday. The Vancouver Chamber Players provided the background music. Best of all, the Easter Bunny showed up and passed out lots of chocolate eggs. Fleetwood Villa always finishes off their fridays on such a high note.
