It is with profound sadness that the team at Firetech acknowledges the recent passing of Steve Hurley.
In 2016, Steve—then a Critical Care Paramedic—approached us with ideas to improve how gear is organized and carried during the demanding realities of field paramedicine. That meeting marked the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Over the next decade, we had the privilege of collaborating with Steve on numerous projects. Many of the innovations he developed—working closely with our design team—live on in the bags and backpack systems we build today for first responders around the world.
On a personal note, Steve was one of the most intelligent, insightful, and inspiring individuals I have had the honor of working with. His kindness, professionalism, and deep respect for others were evident in everything he did.
We are proud that part of his legacy endures in the work we do every day.
