IMPORTANT: Government requesting input from parents/guardians of DHH children who have received or needed early intervention and/or early language services in B.C. within the last 10 years; you are invited to participate in a 30-minute virtual interview in February and early March 2026.

Dear parents/guardians;

Please see attached an invitation from the Ministry of Children and Family Development and the Province of B.C.’s Citizen Engagement team. This outreach is part of the Ministry’s engagement process to inform the development of early language services (ages 0-5) for children with hearing differences and their families in B.C.

If you have a Deaf or hard of hearing child who has received or need early intervention/language services in B.C. within the 10 years, please see attached for more details. We are inviting parents/guardians to participate in a virtual interview during February and early March 2026.

We recognize that some families may be on more than one service provider’s distribution list, and we apologize for any duplication of this message.

If you have any questions or need support with registering, please contact citizenengagement@gov.bc.ca.

Thank you for your continued support to the Deaf and hard of hearing children and their families across the province.

Sincerely,
Melissa Mykle
A/Director, Provincial Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
