🌻W O R K S H O P 🌻

We are hosting an online workshop for professionals who provide services to families and their children (primarily 0-5) who are deaf/hard of hearing. The workshop is designed to strengthen professional's understanding of how a child's hearing/deafness can impact their development, and strategies they can use to support the child's continued development.

The workshop is free for any professionals working with children who are receiving services from BC Family Hearing Resource Society.

Our Family Fun Day will be on Saturday, February 21 this year!⁣ There will be crafts, games and entertainment!

ASL interpretation will be provided. Other spoken language interpreters are available by request. A light lunch will also be provided. ⁣

This event is open to all families receiving services from the BC Family Hearing Resource Society. All close family members (grandparents, siblings, etc.) are welcome!

Come join us on Saturday, February 7th at Langford Lanes Bowling Alley in Victoria for a fun afternoon of bowling! This event is open to all families with deaf and hard of hearing children, and Deaf and hard of hearing parents and their children.

ASL-English interpretation will be provided. Requests for another language interpreter must be submitted by January 15th.

Family Deaf Camp 2026 - ASL VILLAGE
Online Information Session to hear all about this summer's camp!

Family Deaf Camp - ASL Village will be held Thursday, July 2 to Sunday, July 5, 2026
New Venue: RockRidge Canyon, Princeton BC (approx 3 hour drive from Lower Mainland)

For families with Deaf & Hard of Hearing children & CODA families (Deaf adults with their kids). Activities for children of all ages from birth to high school & their families

The entire 1,500-acre RockRidge Canyon campus is all ours! Our DYT Team and Deaf Mentors will bring the space to life creating a vibrant ASL-rich environment for connection, learning and community. Meanwhile, RockRidge staff will handle safety (like lifeguards & ziplining) and manage outdoor activities in collaboration with our DYT team.

Family activities: swimming (pool and lake), kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, hiking trails, disc golf, beach volleyball, basketball, outdoor hockey rink, and a zipline.

Evening ASL Variety Show & Teen “after-hours” hangouts
We aim to keep Family Deaf Camp affordable, ASL-Immersive and fun!
