You have to remember when you were young. When we were young, we all had these dreams of being vast beings, great. We wanted to be pilots or astronauts or princesses or gold medalists or kings. It's because we *are* great. But we learn to compromise that greatness inside. And it’s up to us to come out from behind that self-imposed exile.

You know all those fairy tales about the lost prince or the princess living in exile and poverty, until all of a sudden one day they rediscover their inheritance, get married and live happily ever after? Do you think those stories are just stories for children? No! Those are stories for adults! The children don’t need them, we do!

So start believing in yourself again. Get your back behind the wheels of the wagon and give it a little shove. In the beginning, it’ll take some time to build up the momentum. But after some time, you’re gonna see magic occurring in your life. People will come from far and wide to help you. You won’t believe how much joy your heart is capable of bearing. And your only wish will be to keep distributing your good fortune, to help others.

A Ritual Of Offering

There is such power in ritual in a relationship.

It's an experience of consciousness, of presence.

In this space we come together with an intention.

We come into intimacy, we come into our hearts, we come into our bodies.

In ritual, whatever it may be, we come into a space that's separate from everything else we do.

In this awareness we're allowing ourselves to share in an act and time of devotion.

In our love, in our desire, in our sharing we create an energy, a frequency rich with the gifts of possibility.

In the preparation for a ritual we begin to step into a different world.

We go within ourselves to connect deeper with another.

We open our hearts.

We open our bodies.

We open our energy.

We reveal ourselves, our sacred selves.

We look deep, deeper into each other.

We see with eyes beyond our eyes.

We breathe with breath that goes beyond our body.

Intensity.

A sharing that allows us to explore, express so many aspects of ourselves from the God and Goddess to the exquisite savagery of tearing all pretence away to reveal the depth of desire.

There are so many rituals in the world of sensuality, s*xuality, intimacy and sacredness from many traditions.

And there are rituals that we create.

This is a ritual of offering.

It's an incredibly beautiful experience to offer any of yourself to your lover.

It's vulnerable and powerful.

It's giving and receiving in a way that we become one with the flow of energy between us.

Create a space.

Warmth is vital.

The physical elements are whatever is important, candles, incense, flowers, crystals, food, music…

As you create the space bring your attention inward.

Greet your lover.

Look into each other's eyes.

Breathe into your heart, breathe out your heart.

Put your hand on their heart as they do the same for you.

Feel your hand sinking into them as you open to theirs.

Breathe.

Offer something of yourself to your lover.

It could be a hand to hold, it could be your mouth to kiss, it could be your chest to lean against, it could be your breast to suck, it could be the union of your s*x, it could be a gift of pleasure, it could be a massage, it could be a dance, it could be your breath, it could be anything.

It's an offering, a conscious offering.

I open myself to you.

I open myself to receive you.

There's worship in this moment.

There's gratitude for what we offer.

There's an intimacy that deepens the space between us, expands us, heals us.

It may be that you reciprocate in the ritual and it may be that each experience is for one of you.

It may be that you use the ritual to explore the parts of you that you don't touch, that you don't share.

It may be that you use the ritual to be so gentle with each other.

And it may be that you use the ritual to explore the fire within you.

Offer yourself to your lover.

Give yourself so much permission to rest that the very love within this simple act melts your heart open and sets your grief free.

The grief you resist, fight against, build up so much tension in your body and heart in order to not feel.

Soften.

Open your heart to yourself, give your mind some time off from figuring your way out of the grief, analyzing it or negotiating with reality so as to not feel the deep tenderness of what it is to be human, to be you and all you've loved and overcome.

Let this space of rest, this space to grieve be such a radical act of loving kindness towards your psyche.

Let yourself miss what you miss,
long for what you long for,
want what you want,
desire what you desire.

Even if it is gone.
Even if it never was.
Even if its over.
Even if its not requited.
Even if its not possible.

Stop fighting against what is longing to break through, to erupt as a holy channel of something far greater than you beckoning you home.

To yourself.

Made new, in the fire of your loving.

Lay down the defenses, tuck the to-do list away, relax the need to be busy, whisper to the mind that it is safe to not know for a while.

In your restful softening, let the tears wash over you, releasing the stronghold of eons of conditioned resistance that's been keeping so much pain in, while protecting you from your own love.

It's in all the ways we fight the alchemy of the heart that we create tension, dis-ease and self-doubt.

We love, we long, we grieve, we pray, we remember, we emerge...for a reason.

We are not designed to become enemies of ourselves.

When our hearts are in pain, we need our own love, not our endless analysis, the most.

Let the resting be so deeply loving to the animal of your body that it becomes safe for your heart to unwind.

Let the loving be a refuge that carries your grief.

Let the grieving liberate the wisdom of your heart.

Let the wisdom of your heart illuminate the gifts you will take with you.

Let the gifts you take with you become the building blocks of yet another beautiful emergence.

More love,
not less.
