At Simply Counselling we are neuroscience based and human being centered. We empower the journey of healing with our offerings of Counselling Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and Trainings on Trauma and Holistic Wellness.
The Just Breathe: Yoga for Kiddos program is aimed for children K-7. It is a specialized program that focuses on emotional regulation through knowledge and practice. The program offers knowledge on how the brain and nervous system are connected, how this impacts our emotions, and how we can process and care for our emotions/thoughts.
We provide a safe space for conversations and learning. In this space, children learn about different mental health/emotional topics, develop awareness of their own processes, and learn tools to cope with their internal experiences. Our young participants will learn how to name and manage big emotions and will learn about how the brain responds to stress.
We teach basic grounding and yoga techniques designed to support kiddos in developing a loving and supportive relationship with themselves and their bodies.

Anxiety, depression and stress are produced by a dysregulated nervous system and automatic thought patterns. Our ability to learn, socialize and make decisions requires a balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. With presence and compassion, we use knowledge, breath work, gentle movement and sound to match the challenges of the nervous system and shift the relationship towards greater regulation.
