Meet Blitzen, a bundle of pure bliss.

Before we begin our session, he rolls, resets, and lets it all move through his body.
And then—pure joy. No cue. No force. Simply energy in motion.

Horses don’t hold onto what’s ready to move. They release… and return to life fully.

I feel so honoured to work alongside such an amazing, joyful soul.

Meet Miss Mia—an energy master in the form of a horse.

Here she’s working with the center of the palm, known as the Laogong point in Chinese medicine, connected to the heart system.

Watch how she also moves across the fingers, which relate to specific meridian pathways and body systems. Mia is helping to harmonize the energy and pathways to this client’s heart.

Mia steps up naturally to support. No cues. No force. Simply awareness and response.

✨ This week feels like a full-circle moment

I’m heading into a week of co-facilitating alongside my mentor Brenda Brown and the herd from Mystic Waters Ranch 🐴

What began as learning this work has now evolved into stepping into a leadership role — supporting and guiding an incredible group of women through this experience with the horses.

It’s an honour to be part of this, and I’m so excited for what’s unfolding.

There’s something powerful about being in these spaces…

where people, nature and animals come together in such a real and transformative way.

I am so grateful and thankful to be here.
I’m grateful for this path.

✨ A little more about me…

If you’re new here, welcome 💛

I’m Dawn — the heart behind SoulShine Love.

Not everyone knows this about me…

I didn’t come to this work through training first.

I came to it through life.

I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals, land, and wide open space.
Some of my favourite memories were the simplest ones…

Baking something with my friends in the kitchen
Then packing up a little picnic with our fresh baked goods
And heading out to the horses

We’d walk into the fields and settle in under my favourite apple tree,
eating, laughing…
while the horses grazed quietly beside us.

At the time, I didn’t realize what I was creating.

But looking back now, I can feel it clearly.

It was connection.
It was presence.
It was peace.

And the horses…
the animals…
they were never separate from me.

I was always aware of them.
Feeling them.
Understanding them in a way I couldn’t explain back then.

Over the years, life took me in many directions.
But that connection never left.

And now, it’s come full circle.

What I offer today isn’t something I’ve forced or figured out.

It’s something I’ve returned to.

A space where people can come back to themselves
through the presence of horses,
through the wisdom of animals,
through the body,
through breath, sound, and energy.

Simple.
Real.
Grounded.

This has been with me all along.

I’m just finally allowing it to take shape.

✨How Deep Clearing with Horses Can Transform a Core Fear ✨

We don’t have to carry what was never ours to hold.

And when we release it…
we return to our natural, true state:

Grounded.
Free.
And fully in our power.

This is what I experienced recently through a deep clearing with the support of two horses, Raya and Trigger (pictured here).

A few weeks ago, an unmistakable fear response came forward—
one that didn’t match who I know myself to be.

It revealed itself during a moment with Shayla, one of my mentors horses.
And instead of pushing it away, I listened.

Over the following weeks, my system began to gently unfold the deeper layers…

Until the timing revealed itself and it was ready to be cleared.

When I finally moved through the process, I allowed myself to feel it fully—
not just from this life,
but from deeper layers that had been carried for far too long. From past lifetimes and across both ancestral lines.

I was held in the presence of these two beautiful horses,
who simply stood with me as everything shifted.

And then something incredible happened…

The charge was gone.

The same memories that once activated fear felt neutral.
Even peaceful.

That’s the power of true clearing.

Not coping.
Not managing.

Clearing.

We don’t have to hold onto patterns that were never truly ours.

And when we let them go…
we create space for something entirely new to emerge.

✨ When a Horse Licks Your Palm…

Over the past few months, I’ve been moving through deep loss and grief.

And something unexpected but so supportive has been happening…

The horses keep coming to my left hand
licking the center of my palm…
and gently pulling on my thumb.

Not just one horse —
Every horse I work with and meet.

From the herd Mystic Waters Ranch…
to a couple of minis at Woodside Farm to “Black Magic” (who you see in the picture above)
and even some of the incredible horses I met recently at Humanity for Horses.

Different places.
Different horses.
Same response.

At first, I thought they were just sourcing salt…
but it stood out that it was always my left hand.

The center of the palm is known as the heart point (Laogong)…
and the thumb connects to lung energy — where we process grief and breath.

And that made me pause. It prompted me to ask you…

Have you ever had a horse focus on your hands?

Lick your palm… or gently mouth your fingers?

It’s often not random.

They’re responding to something in your energy field —
your heart… your breath… something you’re processing.

What I’ve felt, again and again, is this:

The horses meet you exactly where you are…
and support you without needing words.

And that kind of presence… changes something.

Horses simply know. 🤍

Many have reached out to ask me about the training I’ve been immersed in with the horses, so I felt guided to share a little glimpse.

I’m currently completing a certification in Equine-Facilitated Learning through the Mystic Hearts method at Mystic Waters Ranch.

What makes this approach different is that we work from the inside out.

Before stepping into the field with the horses, we begin by exploring what’s happening within ourselves — the beliefs, emotional patterns, and stories we may be carrying that no longer serve us.

Sometimes these imprints come from:
✨ early life experiences
✨ ancestral patterns
✨ deep subconscious beliefs
✨ or even soul memories

As awareness grows, the horses become incredible partners and mirrors in this process.

Because they respond honestly to energy, they reflect where we are aligned, where we may be holding tension, and how we can return to presence, authenticity, and heart-led behaviour.

Another beautiful aspect of this work is that it can happen in many ways:

✨ outside with the horses
✨ inside through guided exercises
✨ and even remotely

It’s powerful, humbling, and deeply heart-opening work and I feel so grateful to be learning alongside these incredible teachers — both human and horse as well as the land we stand, play and learn on together.

I’m excited to be weaving this into my SoulShine Love offerings as the journey continues.

🐴✨ Freedom doesn’t always look like movement.

We’re a few weeks into the Year of the Fire Horse…

And if you feel like you haven’t released everything yet — you’re not behind.

There can be a lot of pressure at the beginning of a new energetic cycle to move quickly, shed the old layers, and leap into the new.

But real transformation rarely works like that.

Even in the energy of the Fire Horse, there is always balance.

Horses don’t move all the time.
They also pause.
They breathe.
They stand in stillness and presence.

Fire brings momentum and courage, yes — but wisdom reminds us that movement and stillness belong together.

Sometimes the most powerful shift happens in the quiet moment when something inside us finally softens… and lets go.

So if you’re still moving through your own layers this year, trust your timing.

There is no race.

Like the horses, we find our rhythm by listening within — responding to life as it unfolds rather than forcing ourselves into someone else’s pace.

Sometimes freedom looks like standing fully in who you are becoming.

✨ What coherence looks like ✨

These past 11 days have been a beautiful close to an incredible chapter.

I’ve completed the third week of my Equine Facilitated Learning training and half of my practicum sessions Mystic Waters Ranch.

This photo captures the end of one of those sessions — my practicum client and Blitzen simply walking off together, completely in sync 💕

You can feel it when it happens.
When the heart, mind, and body come into alignment, the horse meets you there.

I’ll return at the end of March to complete the second half of my practicum. I’m so excited to continue sharing this journey as I prepare to officially launch this work with horses in May — weaving in the energy, sound, and meditation practices that have been guiding my path all along.
