Ever wondered? ☁️
.. I get this question a LOT, and there really is no one answer!
Chiropractic care treats a variety of conditions, the most common being low back pain, neck pain, headaches, etc. What I do find is that the typical attitude towards health care tends to be REACTIVE... meaning that we wait for a pain signal to limit our activities of daily living before seeking advice and care.
But, what we’re missing is that the human body is an adaptable, pliable, ever-changing structure that needs to be listened to and cared for. This year, many of us made a huge adaptation from being moderately active in our jobs to being WFH warriors. Hellooo upper back pain! 🥴
My favourite part of being a chiro is helping you optimize their health within your own environment, and helping to prevent injury the best we can before it happens. This doesn’t necessarily mean passive care; in fact, quite the opposite:
PROACTIVE care, with education and exercise! 🙌🏼
So while for many of my patients there are those pain signals present that tend hold them back from activities that they love, others make the decision to see me in order to foster health long term. We’re here to help no matter what stage you’re in.
