Cape Breton once had access to midwifery care.

Many families still remember what it meant to receive pregnancy and birth care close to home, surrounded by community and support.

That access is no longer here—but the need never left.
This page exists because families in Cape Breton deserve options, dignity, and continuity of care during pregnancy and birth.

We’re here to listen, share information, and work toward restoring something our community already knows matters.
