Well, I'm still in the UK but had to move to Aldershot: because we had planned to leave the UK by no later than 10th September my hubby gave notice on his Full-Time Reserve Service (FTRS) contract which meant that when that ended, so did our entitlement to live in the house we had lived in for the last 13 years. We had to spend the next couple of weeks in cheap hotels and just yesterday moved into emergency (welfare) accommodation in which we can only stay for 5 weeks! On the positive side, we have a roof over our heads. We're still waiting for our visas (it has been 17 weeks and 3 days since we applied) and even with them we still can't fly to Canada until the flight ban is lifted- how does it get even better than that and what else is possible?!

Sharon will be re-opening the salon on Tuesday 21st July! Please see the announcement below for details. Unfortunately it has become clear that I will not be able to do any holistic treatments between now and when I plan to move to Nova Scotia, Canada. The cost of PPE and other extra items that would be required for the increased hygiene requirements relating to the Covid19 pandemic and having to reduce the number of appointments per day in order to perform deeper cleaning between clients would leave me out of pocket and exhausted. The last thing I'd want would be to provide substandard service to my much-loved clients! As I've said previously, I will pop in to the salon several times between 21st July and mid-August so that I can see as many of you as I can, as safely as possible. 🌟 Unfortunately the salon is still not allowed to open. I'm going to Northern Ireland on the 11th for a week, when I get back I won't have much time left until my planned departure for Canada so as things stand I don't think I'll be able to take any appointments for holistic therapies even if they are allowed. I'd have to make quite a few changes to my room, only take two or three appointments per day, purchase PPE and other products to protect clients from potential Coronavirus/Covid19 infection and continue packing up my home to move! I hope you all understand why that simply isn't practical, and I don't think it would be fair to my clients either, especially as we don't even have a return date. I will go in to the salon to help Sharon as soon as I'm allowed and when I get back from Northern Ireland so hopefully I'll be able to see as many of you as safe and practical 💖

Just sharing the update I put on the Skin Deep page. At the moment it looks like it's not going to be feasible for me to be able to do any holistic treatments between the date the salon is likely to be able to open, and the date I'm leaving for Canada. This is partly because I'd need to buy stuff to protect my lovely clients, and myself, from potential Covid19 infection; reduce the amount of clients treated per day, further increase and enhance cleaning regimen, and partly because I have a lot of packing up to do! I will be popping in to the salon to help Sharon so I hope to see as many of you as possible before I leave... and I'll try not to blub! 💖🙏💖🙏💖

Following the latest Government announcement it looks like we'll be closed at least until the 4th of July unfortunately. If anything changes we will update this page. We hope you are all safe and well and continue to be so over the coming months. Lots of love from Denise and Sharon xx

Shopping swaps for a few key items that may be difficult to get hold of at the moment...

With everyone rushing to the supermarkets trying to find their go-to ingredients, it can be hard to find the foods you normally pick up. Huel have put together a list of some food swaps that allows you to get all the nutrients you need without changing too much of what you're used to.
