⛸️ Lace up, Skaters!

The lake skating rinks open Dec 24 at 12 PM, just in time for some holiday fun by the lake! Grab your skates, bundle up, and get out on the ice 🎄

❄️ Ice safety reminder: Ice thickness is only monitored around the maintained skating rinks. Other areas of the lake aren’t checked and conditions can change quickly.

Thanks to some colder temperatures from Mother Nature, and the hard efforts of our Public Works team, the lake rinks will be open at Noon on Christmas Eve, December 24!

ANNUAL REMINDER: The Town ONLY measures ice thickness for the lake skating rinks. Neither the Town nor the province measures ice thicknesses or determines when people can and cannot use other areas of the lake.

You are responsible for determining safe ice conditions. And ice conditions change rapidly, so be careful out there. We’ve added a visual for reference.
