Have you experienced a slight itching sensation when applying Magnesium topically?
✨ This can be a common reaction especially during initial use. It is often interpreted as a sign that your body is deficient in Magnesium and is rapidly absorbing it through the skin. This tingling feeling usually subsides as your Magnesium levels increase with continued use. A mild itch or tingling when applying Magnesium topically is often considered normal, especially if you are deficient in Magnesium.
✨ What to do if you experience itching from Magnesium? Generally continue usage as long as the itching is mild and temporary, continue using the Magnesium product as your body adjusts.
✨ You can dilute your spray with distilled water to your liking or reduce application amount. You can also apply a lotion or balm after application such as our favorite Tallowed Bee Thy Name (also made locally in Sylvan Lake) to ease the sensation.
✨ If you knowingly have sensitive skin you may want to choose our unscented or dilute versions that we have available. Please inquire by sending us a message.
✨ One of the potential effects of this treatment is that it can lead to the gentle peeling of the skin, which in turn helps to stimulate the growth of fresh, rejuvenated skin. In rare cases, an allergic reaction to Magnesium could manifest as a skin rash, hives, or irritation, potentially leading to peeling or flaking skin if severe; if you experience skin falling off after using Magnesium, consult a healthcare professional immediately to rule out an allergic reaction.
✨ Certain vitamin deficiencies and medications can cause people to react to Magnesium differently. Always start out using our products slowly and gradually increase. As long as you are not kidney impaired you may increase to as many sprays as you like.
✨ Do not apply to broken skin, eczema, sunburn or freshly shaved skin. Certain areas of the body will feel more tingling sensation then others. The legs seem to be one of the best places to apply for less of this sensation.
