Today’s workout was focused on core and plyometric training!

I include this form of training for any clients who are athletes, intermediate to advanced exercisers, weight-loss clients who are ready for higher-intensity work, or sometimes busy clients who need efficient sessions!

I do not recommend plyometric training for clients who are complete beginners, have joint pain or past injuries, poor balance, or if you’re in a caloric deficit with high fatigue.

60 lbs down... but the real transformation was never just physical. It was built in the quiet moments no one saw, the days I didn't want to show up, the workouts I pushed through anyway, the times I chose discipline over excuses.

This journey has taught me that motivation will come and go, but grit and determination are what carry you through. Every small choice stacked up, and over time, those choices added up to results I once thought were impossible.

If you're standing where I once stood (tired, frustrated, or doubting yourself) please know this: you are stronger than you think. Progress is possible. And the version of you you're fighting for is worth every ounce of effort.

Hi, I’m Kassi 👋 A little backstory…

Since 2020, I’ve lost 60 lbs — but the journey wasn’t linear. I started with keto (which worked for fat loss, but also cost me significant muscle mass), committed to sobriety, and eventually found the game-changer: getting into the gym and focusing on strength training.

That shift not only transformed my body, but also sparked a passion I never expected. I went on to become certified in both nutrition and personal training so I can help others cut through the confusion, avoid the mistakes I made, and finally see real, sustainable results. 💪

Ahhh everyone’s favourite - Bulgarian split squats! To shift the emphasis onto your quads, bring your front foot closer to the bench and keep your torso more upright. As you lower down, think about pushing your front knee forward over your toes (comfortably) while keeping your weight in the ball and heel of your front foot.This variation lights up the quads, challenges your balance, and builds serious lower-body strength – all without loading the spine like heavy back squats do. Tip: Go slow on the way down to really feel the burn, and don’t be afraid to hold onto something for balance when first starting!
