Dr. Shola Balogun is a Family Physician with over a decade of medical experience, having trained and practised across Eastern Europe, West Africa, and the United Kingdom. He brings a strong and diverse background in community and family medicine, chronic disease management, children’s and women’s health, preventive care, wellness, and urgent care services.

“My goal is to provide compassionate, patient-centred care and build long-term medical and professional relationships with individuals and families in Lethbridge.” Outside my work life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling, learning new cultures, and meeting new people.

We were delighted to have Dr. Akinsanya arrive at our Lethbridge clinic this week! He is now accepting new patients in the Lethbridge area.

Dr. Abdulquadri Akinsanya is a Family Physician that enjoys providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families of all ages. He graduated from medical school in 2015 (MBChB) and has practiced as a Doctor for 10 years. He has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology awarded by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and he subsequently completed specialty training in General Practice / Family Medicine in the United Kingdom (2024).

Dr. Akinsanya has a special interest in women’s health and minor surgical procedures.

He believes in taking time to listen, fostering open communication, and working collaboratively with patients to support both immediate concerns and long-term health.

Awesome evening with the premed club at Coulee Place a couple days ago. Wonderful night with representatives from Lethbridge College, University of Lethbridge, Medicine Hat College, Colleen Pack, BN from the Taber Hospital and Dr. Buck and Dr. Boora from the Southern Alberta medical program. Super opportunities to connect our local kids with secondary education in the sunny south!

Dear Tango Supporters,

We are so excited to invite you to our annual Tango foundation gala 2026!

We’ve had an amazing year going to Guatemala and Kenya with surgical, medical, dental, construction, women, and children’s health teams!

This year we are going to Guatemala in May, working on a possible trip to Vietnam this summer and a trip to Fiji next winter.

Because of the damage at the Civic Center, the event will be held at the STAR on 54th in the Riverbend Gymnasium. As a result, this venue is smaller than usual and we are limited to 200 tickets. Please get your tickets fast so you have a seat!!

We are so grateful for your support and look forward to another wonderful year serving the less fortunate around the world!

We are super excited to announce STAR’s partnership with D&B Audio to bring perhaps the best concert audio sound systems created in the world to the STAR on 54th theatre! The system is made in Germany and found in many of the greatest concert halls in the world, notable examples include the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, and the Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) in New York. It is also used by Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna, The Who, Korn and Coldplay to name a few! The contract has been signed, equipment is being prepared in Germany and being shipped soon for installation in the early 2026!!❤️
