Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team in the Cardston area! As a caregiver you will provide essential support and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact others' lives. Health Care Aid (HCA) certification is an asset but not required. Client needs vary greatly and provide employment opportunities for compassionate people with different skills and abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and outings
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to supervisor
- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments

Skills & Knowledge:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medication administration or desire to learn
- Ability to perform lifting and physical tasks as required
- Understanding of dementia care techniques and strategies or desire to learn
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively

Other Requirements:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors - Dependable and punctual
- Standard First-Aid/CPR certified or willingness to obtain
- Vulnerable Sector Check required upon hiring
- Class 5 Driver's License

Job Type: Part-time leading to full-time if desired.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule: Varies depending on client requirements. Evening and weekends shifts may be required. We do our best to match caregivers with clients that fit with their life and desired work schedule.

Work Location: In client homes in the Cardston area

Training: Online and in-person training provided
