Some exciting news shared by the Universal College of Reflexology:

“I am excited to bring to your attention the publication of research news: "New Complementary Therapy Guidelines for Cancer Pain from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society for Integrative Oncology." published online in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Sep 19, 2022.

Within these guidelines it is stated "Doctors may recommend reflexology or acupressure to people who have pain while receiving systemic therapy for cancer. Chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy are considered systemic therapy because they affect the whole body by going through the bloodstream."

In addition, it stated "Doctors may recommend acupuncture, reflexology, or acupressure to people experiencing peripheral neuropathy related to cancer treatment."

I’ve been getting asked quite a bit recently what reflexology is and what it can do. Here’s an easy to read blurb from the Reflexology Association of Canada, that answers that.

Along with that, I’ve been asked when an appointment can be booked.

Just like adults, kids can suffer from anxiety, depression, hurt, anger, sadness, grief and loneliness.

Reiki helps to heal and soothe these lower vibe emotions.

With regular reiki sessions it also helps balance out the range of emotions so they don’t swing like a pendulum from one extreme emotion to the next, but, instead helps them to feel their emotions in moderation. Anyone thinking of their pre-teen or teenager at the moment? 😉

I give credit to reiki being the “thing” that started me on my healing journey which has brought me to the place I am now.

I had a session with a reiki master where I was guided to imagine a brick wall, which represented the first block I needed to overcome.
🌟
As I was given reiki, I was to imagine the bricks breaking down in this wall. Each brick representing past hurts or fears that I had that were ready to be released.
🌟
Reiki helped me to face and release these hurts and fears in a gentle way. Sometimes it’s hard to move through these things on our own. Sometimes it really freakin hurts and we can’t and don’t want to go there.
🌟
After I left, I had a sudden burst of crying. This was my emotional release. It wasn’t full of pain or agony. It was just simply tears, a letting go.
🌟
Sometimes this will happen during a session and that is totally ok. I hold space for you to feel what it is that you need to feel.
🌟
Releasing these old hurts and feelings helps us to move on, to open our hearts to love (because who hasn’t experienced heart break in one way or another), and to create space for better things.
🌟
