Today is World Mental Health day!
Mental health matters, it affects how we think, how we feel and how we interact with others. When we're filled with fear, anxiety or sadness it has a large impact on our quality of life.We're here to remind you that you matter, and taking care of your brain matters. So go for a walk, lay in the sun, read a book or book in with your therapist, whatever you need to take care of yourself, do more of that!

Today is the end of an era at Unified Health and Wellness as our longtime friend Nancy is heading into retirement. Nancy is the kindest, funniest and most intelligent person we know! She spent her career caring not only for her patients but for all of us here at the clinic, bringing in beautiful flowers from her garden or tasty treats to share! Even though we are filled with so much joy, we are going to miss the quick one liners, the friendly smile and the feeling of love Nancy always brought to work with her! We know this isn't a goodbye but a see you later! we look forward to visits from you and Arlo! We love you Nancy, thank you for everything!

TonyIhas been a registered nurse since 2016 with a diverse background in the medical field, bringing forth experience from working in the ICU, OR, Medical Surgical, Palliative / Hospice Care, Orthopaedics, Renal, Telemetry, Psychiatry, Obstetrics, Paediatric, and Respiratory units. This, combined with his passion for proactive and preventative healthcare modalities lead him to attain a Masters in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathic treatment helps facilitate optimal health in individuals by realigning their structure and body mechanics to operate at its highest capacity for proper drainage, supply, flow and function of nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics which induce the body’s natural mechanism of self-healing and self-regulating. This includes a thorough assessment of the bony structures, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, cartilage, organs, and a treatment process that tests the physiological range of motion within several tissue layers of the body to address any obstructions or imbalanced force distributions.
