Today, we pause to honor the women in our lives—and in ourselves:

For the women who carry more than anyone sees—
the plans, the care, the quiet responsibilities that keep life moving.

For the women who learned to read the room,
to soften themselves,
and are now remembering the strength of their own voice.

For the women who have been told they are too much
and not enough.

For the women who keep showing up through grief, doubt, and exhaustion.

Today we pause and recognize this truth:
women have always been strong,
in ways both seen and unseen.

And while we still have a long way to go toward equality, respect, and safety,
together women continue to push the world toward change.

March is National Social Work Month 🤍
Social work is, at its heart, about presence. It’s about sitting with people in vulnerable spaces and holding steady. It’s about believing in someone’s dignity and strength, even when they’re struggling to see it themselves.

To my clients— I’m continually humbled by your courage to invite me into your tender stories. The trust you place in me is something I never take lightly. I’m so grateful for you all. 🙏🤍

There is a lot happening in the world right now. War. Division. Uncertainty.

If you’ve been feeling more anxious than usual… on edge… heavy… distracted… or quietly afraid — you are not overreacting. You are responding to very real stress. Many of us are trying to carry on with daily life while our nervous systems are taking in images, headlines, and conversations that feel overwhelming. Add in personal hardships, family responsibilities, and the weight can feel like too much.

Here are a few gentle reminders:

It is okay to step back from the news.
It is okay to protect your peace.
It is okay if your capacity feels smaller right now.
You don’t have to hold it all together.

When fear rises, come back to what is here. Your breath.
Feel your body in the chair.
Feel the floor beneath your feet.
Feel the care of people immediately around you.

Grounding is not ignoring reality — it’s strengthening yourself so you can meet reality without collapsing under it.

If you are struggling, please reach out. You don’t have to process all of this alone. Support is not a weakness — it’s a strength. It’s resilience. It’s self-compassion.

Be gentle with yourself right now.
Small, steady steps are enough. 🌿

I’m learning that I am not every thought that passes through me. Some are echoes of old fears, some are stories I outgrew, and some are simply noise.

But beneath all of it, there is a quieter place - the part of me that watches, breathes, and chooses.

When I pause long enough to notice that space, I remember I don’t have to wrestle every thought or believe every doubt. I can let them move through like clouds while I remain grounded in who I truly am.

Wisdom, I’m realizing, isn’t about silencing the mind. It’s about trusting the awareness within me that knows which thoughts deserve my attention, and which ones can gently drift away.

Love as presence.
Love as compassion.
Love as the courage to keep showing up—especially when things are hard.

Today is a reminder that love isn’t something you earn by being chosen. It’s something you practice:
   •   with yourself
   •   with your boundaries
   •   with your healing
   •   with the people and communities that hold you.

If today brings joy, let it in.
If today brings grief, loneliness, or mixed feelings—please be tender with yourself💞

May today be an invitation to soften. To offer yourself the same care you so freely give others.
To remember that love is bigger than one day, one relationship, or one story. Happy LOVE day to all of you🙏💖

A friend posted this and it made me think of all the warrior women I work with in my practice. This one’s for you! Happy Saturday Warriors💪🏻💓

They’d heard she was a warrior.

And so they pictured her fresh from the fight - with flowing hair and dirt etched on her face. With fitted armour and a sword in her hand.

What they hadn’t realised was that she looked like the woman stood next to them in the supermarket. With messy hair and hurt etched on her face. With creased jeans and a coffee in her hand.

Because she’d been fighting a battle they knew nothing about. And even though it didn’t look like much of a victory to them, it really was.

That she was there. She was fighting. She was strong.

And no matter what she, or the battle, or the victory might have looked like to anyone else,
the fact remained…

She was a warrior.

Most people believe meditation means stopping thoughts.
That’s why they sit down, close their eyes… and feel like they’re failing within seconds.

The mind starts racing.
Plans appear.
Memories surface.
Worries knock loudly.

And people conclude: “I can’t meditate.”

But here’s the truth 👇

Meditation is not about forcing the mind to go blank.
It’s about changing your relationship with your thoughts.

At first, the mind is noisy — and that’s not a problem.
That noise was always there; you’re just noticing it for the first time.

Then something subtle happens: You stop fighting the thoughts.
You stop chasing them.
You stop believing every story they tell.

You begin to observe without reacting.

Thoughts still arise —
but they no longer own you.
They pass like clouds, while you remain the sky.

With time, the mind naturally settles.
Not because you controlled it,
but because you stopped interfering.

And in that quiet awareness: • Clarity replaces confusion
• Peace replaces restlessness
• Presence replaces overthinking

Meditation is not about thinking less.
It’s about being less controlled by thinking.

Sit.
Breathe.
Observe.
Let go.
