Kirtan is a form of devotional singing with deep roots in Indian spiritual traditions. It arises from Bhakti Yoga — the path of love — where singing mantras is both prayer and a form of yoga practice. Through call and response, we attune to something greater than ourselves through sound, breath, and rhythm.
You don’t need to follow a specific tradition or have a perfect singing voice to join — only a sense of curiosity and an open heart. This is not a performance, but a collective practice. Whether your voice is strong or shy, whether you feel joy, resistance, stillness, or anything in between — all of it is welcome here.
We’ll begin with a gentle introduction to Kirtan and its roots, then move into singing together, letting rhythm and repetition draw us inward. As voices merge, something soft and sacred unfolds — a shared vibration that quiets the mind and enlivens the heart.
We’ll close with a brief meditation and conversation to ground and integrate.
Come, sing, meditate, and connect with us.
