Headaches can be a prevalent part of daily life. They can distract us from our regular activities as well as our work. Unfortunately we don't always know where to look for help. Well, Physiotherapists are trained to evaluate and determine the likely cause of your headaches.

Life and technology today makes us prone to spending extended time in poor postures. This can place undue stress on the body whether it is the upper back and surrounding muscles or the joints in your neck.

A physiotherapist can help locate the underlying cause, provide you with treatment to alleviate the symptoms as well as guide you in prevention/management of future headaches.

If you are suffering from headaches give us a call for an evaluation and allow us the opportunity to help you fix this problem, relieve your discomfort and get you back to feeling like you again!

We would like to introduce the newest member to the Niagara Orthopaedic Institute team!

Jeff Deguire is a Registered Physiotherapist having obtained his Master’s degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY in 2006 and his Honours Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario in 2003.

Jeff has experience working in a variety of clinical settings in the United States that have contributed to his growth as a physiotherapist. He recently moved back to Canada and is excited to continue his career with the team at Niagara Orthopaedic Institute St Catharines.

Jeff is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (2019) and a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (2013) through Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. He received his certification in Integrative Dry Needling in 2021. Jeff focuses on using clinical reasoning and the evaluation skills obtained through his intensive training over the years to best serve and create positive outcomes for those in his care. He is passionate about taking a holistic approach, working collaboratively, and creating individualized treatment plans based on his patients’ unique needs.

When not in the clinic you will find Jeff spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs enjoying the outdoors: camping, hiking, biking, and skiing.
