It is no easy news to share, but our clinic will be closing effective August 29th 2025.

We cannot begin to thank our clients and the community enough for their trust, authenticity, and support over the last five years. Our team has been nothing shy of honoured to share that same trust, authenticity, and support with the incredible clients that have helped make DPMH the space it was set out to be.

Emails have been sent to all current and past clients with further details, but any outstanding questions or concerns can be forwarded directly to danielle.rider@dpmh.ca. Our admin desk will be understandably busy over the next few months, and to ensure any communications are received and reviewed quickly by our team, please reach out to the email above if needed.

Our staff remain dedicated to supporting you through this likely unexpected change, and we encourage you to connect with us about any ways we may be able to make that support fit your needs as best as possible.

From the entire DPMH team, thank you πŸ©΅πŸ’š

Though it always feels like Administrative Professionals Day with Cass around, we wanted to give her a special shout out today for all of her incredible work in keeping DPMH running smoothly!

Cass is often the first face people see when coming into the clinic, and the last face they see before heading out. Her enthusiasm, energy, and dedication shines through whether supporting colleagues or clients! πŸ™Œ πŸŽ‰

Thank you for everything you do, Cass πŸ₯ΉπŸ©΅

With Dorset Pier Community Care, DPMH's non-profit partner, we are organizing a Lending Library for clients and their supports to access for free! πŸ“š

Our Lending Library will span a variety of topics, such as mental health, wellness, coping, body positivity, visibility, and more.

We are making sure to include subjects that may feel "tricky to talk about", especially books intended for younger readers speaking to things like bullying, loss, trauma, identity, or changing family structures. Some selected books are written for youth to work through together with a trusted adult should they choose to, including suggestions on introducing and explaining what may be a "difficult" topic, exploring relevant activities, or encouraging further supportive conversations beyond the last page. 🌱

Along with simply making these resources a bit easier to access, we are aiming for most books that your therapist may recommend during sessions to be available for you to borrow and read! πŸ™Œ

We will be adding to our Lending Library on an ongoing basis to continue supporting access to written print resources that can often be cost-prohibitive. We have quite a few books on the way which should be on our shelves in the next couple weeks! πŸ“– πŸŽ‰
