Dan had dreamed of going whale watching ever since moving to British Columbia in 1994. It wasn’t until recently, in the wake of an ALS diagnosis, that he and his family decided to finally make it happen. Thanks to Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie, Dan’s wish came true as he set out on a fully guided whale watching and marine wildlife tour, joined by his family members.

Summer Fun & Flavours Has Begun at Chartwell! ☀️🍓🍦

At Chartwell Robert Speck, residents beat the heat with scoops from the ConeZone ice cream truck. Chartwell Thunder Bay hosted a seasonal tasting on the patio featuring live music. Chartwell Tiffin served up homemade strawberry icebox cake and iced tea, while Chartwell Georgian Traditions kicked things off with gooey S’mores under the sun!

Today our residents enjoyed a festive Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring a delicious lunch of chicken tacos accompanied by pineapple slaw, avocado crema, and a side of five-bean chipotle salad, all served with homemade corn tortillas crafted by one of our talented cooks. To wrap up the afternoon, we delighted in peach margaritas and fresh pico de gallo. Fun was had by all!
