As the year comes to a close, I wanted to pass on a gentle optional reflection with you that was given to me. There’s no right way to do this — you can take what fits, skip parts, or set it aside entirely.
If it feels supportive, you might start by noticing your feet on the floor and taking one slow breath.
A Gentle Ritual
1. Carry Forward
Take a moment to notice:
What helped you get through this year?
What strengths, supports, or moments felt steady or comforting?
2. Release
You might quietly name (or write):
“In the coming year, I am no longer available for…”
This could be habits, pressures, or expectations that no longer fit.
If you like, imagine letting them go.
3. Three Anchors
Choose 3 words or ideas you can return to when things feel hard
(e.g., rest, compassion, boundaries, curiosity).
• When I feel overwhelmed, I return to ____.
• When I feel disconnected, I return to ____.
• When I feel stuck, I return to ____.
4. Gentle Commitment
Choose one small way to remember your anchors — maybe a word on your mirror, a meaningful object, or a quiet weekly pause.
Wishing you a gentle close to the year and moments of steadiness in the year ahead.
