We're teaming up with Food Action Network for an exciting opportunity for youth to connect with the land, learn about cultural practices, and share traditional foods and We're teaming up with Food Action Network for an exciting opportunity for youth to connect with the land, learn about cultural practices, and share traditional foods and !

Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 12 to 4PM. We will meet at 1134 Roland St at 12PM before heading out in Youth Hub vehicles for medicine picking. Afterward, we will return to the Hub to prepare and enjoy tea, share stories, and learn about Indigenous food practices over a shared meal. All youth aged 12-25 - Indigenous and non-Indigenous - are welcome to attend!

This program will be facilitated by Shelby Gagnon, Indigenous Food Sovereignty Coordinator w/ Food Action Network.
Registration is required. To register or to arrange transportation to the Hub, please call 807-624-2025, text 807-621-1290, or message us on Facebook/Instagram by Thursday, April 23. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear proper footwear for the trail!

Note: if it's bad weather the program will still be happening! We will spend the afternoon at the Hub and either learn about hide tanning or how to incorporate food into artwork!
