Young people today are growing up in environments shaped by powerful commercial, social and technological forces that influence how they spend their time, their sleep and the products they consume. Products such as energy drinks, caffeine pouches, ni****ne pouches and activities such as social media, gaming, and gambling. As these become increasingly normalized and embedded in everyday youth life, these trends are often misunderstood as individual choices rather than outcomes of the environments in which they live.

Join speakers from Planet Youth to explore these shared challenges and the need for communities to take upstream, systems-based approaches to creating healthier environments for young people. The presentation will highlight practical community-led and policy-level actions that build protective environments.
