Someone asked me if "Yoga for men is different then general yoga?" The answer is no and yes. In Broga the yoga postures are the same, however the focus is on the elements of male anatomy and physiology that men require strengthening, stretching or releasing to maintain or improve their physical health. Broga focuses on working on the hip flexors, the lumbar, on transverse abdominis, hamstrings, shoulder mobility, wrist flexors and extensors, and more. The development of core strength and improved flexibility is encouraged. Postures are held longer to allow the larger stronger male muscles to release and lengthen. Also, chronic issues like sciatica, low back pain, short hamstrings and anterior pelvic tilt are addressed.
