Well, the time has come. Last year, our CMTO fees increased by just over $100 bringing the fee to hold our registration for 2023 to $897, this fall we have a 20% increase overall on our annual CMTO fees to continue to hold our registration (not including mandatory insurance and optional but strongly recommended Association fees) to $915.

I have held off on raising my rates for as long as possible, despite rising operating costs such as lotion, laundry service (to ensure that the sheets are as sterile as possible), high level disinfectant, cell phone bills, kinesiotape, etc. However, I find myself keeping less take home/net pay now than I did 5 years ago, despite working many more hours; this is not a sustainable business model. I will unfortunately have to raise my rates to align closer to, or on par with some of my younger colleagues before September. My apologies as I have worked to keep the service accessible and affordable to ensure equitable access of care for greater than 20 years.
