A message from Ella:

Hello to The Doctors at Oak Family,

It’s with a heavy heart I am currently leaving Dr. Probizanski’s practice. This has been a mutual and amicable decision.

With new CPSO legislation in place, the ability for PAs to practice predominantly in a primary care setting is placing increased burden on key-stakeholders in an already broken system, impacting the ability for patients to access the health care that they desperately need.

Please know that choosing to leave has been a hard decision and the new CPSO policies mandating how I practice and support my physicians is a contributory factor in this process. If you wish to voice your complaints to enable change, I ask that you email the Ontario Medical Association, the CPSO and the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants respectfully to ensure that your voice is heard.

Please know that working with Dr Probizanski, his team and his patients have been some of the highest points of my career. You will be missed!

Due to a combination of staff illness and severe weather conditions, our clinic will be closed today to ensure the safety of both our team and patients.

We’d like to let our patients know that our Physician Assistant, Ella Besserer, will be leaving our practice.

This change is due to recent updates to regulations and practice guidelines from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), which affect how our clinic is able to structure and deliver care. As a result, Ella will no longer be able to continue in her role with us.

Ella has been an important part of our team, and we’re very grateful for the care, kindness, and dedication she has shown to our patients. We know she will be missed by many.

We remain committed to providing you with high-quality care, and we are making arrangements to ensure a smooth transition for all patients.
