We are over the moon to introduce you to our newest bilingual SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST, Kyra Beauchamp!

You may have been lucky enough to meet Kyra when she was a student at Bright Spot. She is now officially a speech-language pathologist and working full time at Bright Spot! Kyra will be providing services to Kapuskasing, Hearst, Hornepayne, Cochrane, and Fort Hope. She will also be completing advanced training in literacy and will be providing virtual literacy intervention services.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have Kyra on the Bright Spot team :)

Every staff meeting we read all the “bright spots” from the bright spot jar and our day becomes a little brighter 🙂

This week we heard about how amazing Lego camp has been, one child’s love of bubbles, establishing rapport with a client, and one of our clients added their own bright spot to the jar without any prompting!

Fine Motor Workshop (Virtual – Entire Region) December 6th, 2022

This caregiver workshop is designed to give caregivers a better understanding of what fine motor skills are expected for their child, why fine motor skills are important, and simple tips for supporting fine motor skills at home. It includes a quick consultation phone call of up to 30 minutes to discuss how the strategies can be implemented and/or individualized.
