Today, April 25th — what a truly surreal day.
I keep thinking I might wake up, because today wasn’t just perfect… it was extraordinary.
When you pour your whole heart into something, nurture it with genuine intention, and then see a community rise up with the same love and compassion for our residents — that alone is incredible. But when you add volunteers who show, so effortlessly, what it means to give with love, respect, and appreciation for our elders… that’s something truly special. That is the cornerstone of who we are at Spruce Hill Lodge — one big, beautiful family ❤️
To our staff who went above and beyond, keeping everything running smoothly and constantly asking how they could help — thank you. Your support meant more than words can express.
To the businesses who so generously donated to our raffles and penny sale — the crowd was in awe. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful.
To our dear residents who participated as vendors — your smiles, your pride, and the joy of sharing those moments with others filled my heart.
And to ALL of our incredible help:
Mom, Dad, Jay, Chuck, Donna, Linda, Dennis, Caroline, Angele, Michel, Anita, Lorraine, Susan, Lisa, Kevin, Mary, Lisa, Roger, Marie, Fran, Anne, Brenda, Tammy, Pauline — and everyone who stepped in and asked, “How can I help?” — THANK YOU. You made this day what it was.
A special moment I keep replaying… when Lorraine was preparing the tickets, I suggested doing only half, hoping we might sell out. She smiled and said, “Oh no, I’ll do them all.” And thank goodness she did — we SOLD OUT an hour and a half early!
The smiles, the congratulations, the laughter — it’s all still echoing. And my heart is full, calm, and so incredibly grateful for the love and support poured into SHL.
Goodnight to all 💕
Calls will begin Monday 🩷
We love you. To our residents — thank you for making your home a part of mine. I am forever grateful.
Good job, everyone.
Wow… what an event 🥂
