Tight hips? 🤔 Focusing on the 👉🏻👉🏻
🧘🏼‍♀️PSOAS MAJOR: The largest and major hip flexor muscle. It plays a significant role in stabilizing the spine.☝🏻That muscle can get tight by affecting your pelvis alignment, posture and back pain.
💥- using a foam roller or a massage ball which will go deeper then the foam roller is a great tool to use to release that tightness. (Some discomfort)
💥- LUNGE STRETCH 💥 really focus on technique to target the PSOAS and less on the quadriceps
1- Lunge down until your knee is resting on the floor.
2- Tilt your hips slightly backward. Tuck in your glutes pushing belly button in.
3- slightly lean forward and feel that stretch into your hip flexors
4- hold that stretch 20-30 seconds- you can increase that stretch by reaching your arm over to the opposite side.
💥Don’t forget to strengthen the glutes to avoid hip dysfunction and pain.
💥The stability of the lumbopelvic-hip complex relies on balanced hips, strong muscles that are functioning properly and synergetically.
💆🏻‍♂️ MOST IMPORTANT book a massage! 💆🏼‍♀️

The “QL” muscle Quadratus Lumborum
QL pain can result in stressing other areas of your body. Once your body compensates to support one part that isn’t symmetrical, additional imbalances and misalignments can occur.
MAY CAUSE PAIN IN 👉🏻
- hip joints, buttocks, and thighs
- pain in your sacroiliac joint
- low back pain
- abdominal pain
Constant contraction due to prolonged sitting, such as at a COMPUTER or in a CAR. Kyphosis and weak gluteal muscles can also contribute to the likelihood of quadratus lumborum pain.

RMTs develop treatment plans based on their patients’ needs, conditions and preferences

Massage therapy is a recommended alternative to opioids to manage chronic pain. Massage therapy can also reduce the frequency and intensity of chronic headaches.

Based on well-documented positive impact of massage therapy on patient outcomes, we can infer that increased access to the services provided by RMTs will improve productivity in the workplace and in Canadian society.

Provincial healthcare systems in Canada are being challenged by an aging population and hospital overutilization. Massage therapy can help alleviate pressure on the broader health care system by supplementing other methods of treatment and improving patient outcomes.

Massage therapy has material benefits for patients’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being and helps them maintain productive lives. It is not a luxury. Join our community and show your support for RMTs as an important part of Canada’s health care network.

RMTs are an integral part of interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) provide patients with relief of pain, anxiety, and/or stress through massage therapy, allowing them to return to their normal, productive lives.

RMTs don’t work in a silo. RMTs are part of healthcare teams in a variety of environments including multidisciplinary clinics, long-term care homes and hospitals.

Massage therapy has material benefits for patients’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being and helps them maintain productive lives. It is not a luxury. Join our community and show your support for RMTs as an important part of Canada’s health care network.
