Don’t let clean living become another source of stress.

I’ve seen how fear around ingredients, air quality, or even a single sip of unfiltered water can spiral into anxiety.

Yes, I value clean air, clean water, and real food.

But I’m not going to panic over everything and aim to be perfect.

Instead, I focus on what’s realistic and sustainable for me

Here’s a peek at what that looks like for me:

1️⃣ I swap plastic food containers for glass (especially for leftovers that have to be reheated)
2️⃣ I purchased a water filter for my drinking water instead of bottled water
3️⃣ I open windows daily to refresh the indoor air
4️⃣ I sometimes say yes to fast food on busy nights, but I mostly cook simple, whole-4️⃣ I use dryer balls instead of dryer sheets
5️⃣ I look for alternative cleaners and soaps when they're available and gradually

In my practice, I’ve seen that some people—especially kids with allergies or sensitivities—need to be more cautious around environmental toxins.

And in those cases, mindful swaps really help.

But even then, fear doesn’t serve anyone.

Start with what you CAN do.

Stay curious, not panicked.

A major new study tracked 120,000+ people over 10 years.

It found that eating a diverse mix of flavonoid-rich foods may lower your risk of chronic disease AND support a longer life span.

The study showed:

✔ 16% lower risk of all-cause mortality
✔ ~10% reduced risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and respiratory issues
✔ Bigger benefits from variety, not just quantity

The importance of variety cannot be overstated!

Some foods support healthy blood pressure.

Some foods support healthy cholesterol levels.

Some foods support a healthy inflammatory response.

So instead of just drinking tea every day, it’s better to rotate in a variety:

🍇 Grapes
🍊 Citrus
🍓 Berries
🍎 Apples
🍫 Dark chocolate

Not just during a juice cleanse.

Not just after a vacation binge.

Here’s what systems are working behind the scenes to clear out everyday waste and what they need from YOU:

Your liver breaks down toxins so they can be eliminated (but it needs you to eat nutritious foods 🥦)

Your kidneys filter waste through your urine (but they need you to stay hydrated 💧)

Your gut eliminates toxins in the stool (as long as you aren’t stopped up 😣)

Your lymph moves cellular waste out of the tissues (but it only flows when you move 🏃🏽‍♂️)

Your skin sweats out waste (which works better when you actually sweat 🥵)

Are you starting to see a pattern?

Our bodies are built to gently detox all the time, but we do have a role to play here.

A new study challenges a common misconception: that dieting will make you feel better.

Researchers analyzed data from 28,000+ adults and found that people on restrictive diets were more likely to report depressive symptoms.

This was especially true if they were:

✔️Male
✔️Overweight or obese
✔️Following diets not supervised by professionals

Why would this be?

Restrictive diets are often low in essential nutrients, like ✨omega-3s, B12, and healthy fats✨

Our brains need these nutrients to function.

Also, low intake of carbs or fats may impair brain health and worsen mood.

Just because a diet looks “clean” or “low-cal” doesn’t mean it’s healthy for your mood, hormones, or brain.

In my practice, I focus on nourishing your body (not depriving it) so that you can feel balanced, energized, and mentally clear.

The more scientific term?

☠️ Body burden.

See, your body is built to detox.

The liver, kidneys, lymph, gut, and skin work 24/7 to process exposures.

But you have a limit.

Think of it like a bucket 🪣

In today’s world, that bucket fills fast with pesticides, preservatives, fragrances, personal care products, and more.

Once it overflows, symptoms show up.

That could mean brain fog, fatigue, hormone imbalances, skin issues, or sensitivity to smells and chemicals.

But this is where knowledge 🤓 is power 💪

In a study tracking 89,595 adults for nearly 8 years, researchers examined how different movement patterns impacted digestive health.

They looked at conditions like constipation, fatty liver, heartburn, and gallstones.

And the results showed…

People who exercised, regardless of whether regularly or just on the weekend, had a significantly lower risk of developing digestive diseases compared to those who were inactive.

Let’s talk about grounding.

It really just means going outside barefoot 👣

I get that it might sound a little woo at first, but there’s some science behind it.

Studies show that grounding can:

✔ Support healthy inflammation levels
✔ Reduce markers of stress
✔ Improve sleep quality

One theory for why this works?

Our bodies run on electrical activity.

Our brain, heart, and muscles depend on it.

And the earth carries a subtle negative charge that may help rebalance that system when we connect directly.
