Foot care is extremely important for people with diabetes because diabetes can affect both circulation and nerve function, which increases the risk of serious foot problems. Here’s why:

🦶 1. Reduced Sensation (Neuropathy)

High blood sugar over time can damage nerves, especially in the feet. This can lead to loss of feeling, meaning a small cut, blister, or sore may go unnoticed. Without pain as a warning sign, these injuries can worsen before being treated.
