Internationally, midwives are credited for saving lives and for improving quality of life, especially in times of global crises due to war and famine. Locally, we serve over 100 families every year and are an integral part of the community and hospital health care system. You and your partner(s) may not have noticeable symptoms, but early detection and treatment can prevent health problems for you and your baby.

Sexual Health Walk-in Clinic

Thursday May 16 from 1:30-5:30 at the Timmins PHU office (169 Pine St. South).

You may not notice signs that you have syphilis or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The best way to know if you have syphilis or another STI is to get tested! Come to our clinic for free and confidential testing.

Available during walk-in:
- Testing for sexually transmitted infections (Chlamydia/Gonorrhea)
- Blood testing for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis
- Birth control prescriptions
- Pregnancy testing, counselling, and referrals

Not available during walk-in:
- Pap testing

The number of clients that the clinic can accommodate will be limited, and the order in which people are seen will vary based on needs.
