Every registered massage therapist in the province learns the same basic principles and foundational techniques for a well rounded massage practice.

But did you know that it is a requirement to keep our license that we receive continued education on an ongoing basis?

That is where we have the freedom to expand our skills and focus our studies to form our own unique tool belt of skills to offer you different ways to help your body heal and feel better.

These skills can range from different specialized massage techniques, to education on certain conditions and how to best treat them, to refreshing our skills of some of the fundamental shills we learned in school.

So rest assured that your RMT is always expanding their knowledge to serve you better!

Some of the areas that I have very passionately expanded my knowledge in are:

👐 TMJ treatment

👐 Somatic Exercise

👐 Chronic Pain

👐 Thai Reflexology

I don't know if you can see a common thread there or not but one thing that has driven my education has been learning about the mind-body-spirit connection.

I am passionate about teaching others ways to help themselves (so they don't have to rely on services like mine just to get by in their day-to-day) and I passionately encourage people that they ALWAYS have the power to improve their situation, regardless of their age, their history or their circumstances.

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! 👋

One of my goals for the new year is to post on my massage profile more often than I have in the past.

I want to share with you some of the things I have learned over the years and share with you all of the tools I have in my belt in order to help you better.

For starters I thought I would reintroduce myself for those of you who may not know me.

My name is Kaley (Henderson) Wilcox and I grew up around Tisdale. I have worked my whole massage career here in Tisdale going on 13.5 years now! I love the problem solving aspect of my job and I love having deep intellectual conversations with my clients. (But if you need silence that is great too!😉) I am married (to Jordan) and we have 2 girls, Jovie and Hayden. I am super passionate about learning about all things mind/body/soul when it comes to healing and I am forever learning, reading and taking courses to help me better understand how we can use this model to achieve while health. I believe we can heal from anything, we just have to figure out how.

When I am not at work I love to be outdoors hiking or relaxing and spending time with my family. I also like to write and I am always scheming up ideas of how to bring more joy to my life and to others.
