🎄‘Twas the Month of My Due Date🎄
Excitement was building, all felt just right.
With each gentle kick, my heart fills with grace,
As we prepare to protect our sacred birth space.
Rather than asking if the baby has come,
Consider a visit with meals, gifts of love spun.
A handwritten letter, or outings for play,
To help keep my older ones happily at bay.
With lights on the tree twinkling bright with delight,
Your friendship is cherished—how lovely, how light!
Let’s plan a lunch date at my favorite spot,
Join me for tea, oh, I’d love that a lot!
Or come over and cook, make freezer meals with me,
I could use the distraction, connection—so key.
This transition is hard, both mentally and slow,
To listen and reassure—it’s your warmth that I know.
I don’t need you to fix; just be there in my fears,
Remind me I’m not alone through the ups and the tears.
Negative tales I’d prefer to avoid,
Embracing the positive helps joy be employed.
Whether I choose a hospital, a birth center, or home,
I’ll trust my body and instincts as I greet the unknown.
I possess all I need; my body knows best,
To bring forth my baby, to nurture, to rest.
I won’t rush the journey for the sake of the day,
My little one’s timing will come in their way.
So here’s to the season, with joy in the air,
We’ll share our sweet news, with love and with care.
Together we’ll bask in the joy that we find,
As our little miracle awaits to choose their special date.
